How They Met
Surat-based Urban Farmer Roma and enterprising businessman Vivek’s story set off on a filmy note (literally!) when they crossed paths at a movie theatre 5 years ago. Roma, who was visiting from Canada, was instantly drawn to him, and their connection quickly progressed from casual conversations to a relationship which continued long-distance and grew over the years.

Wedding Planning
Although the couple decided on a destination wedding with just close family in Thailand, they wanted to host a bigger celebration in Surat to involve all those who could not travel with them for the wedding. They picked a friend’s sprawling farmhouse for the occasion and roped in the team of Creative Witty to inject life into their vision. The bride shares, “Neel and Preksha did a phenomenal job planning the function. I had always wanted an extremely colorful and fun Mehendi with lots of quirky elements, a function with no concrete theme where guests could feel free to dress how they wanted and focus on enjoying, and they made it all happen so organically. Moreover, I wanted a really large, lush space for the event where every inch was decorated in colors and decor elements, and they went above and beyond to do the same.

They were incredibly patient and worked out all our demands and last-minute changes without any worry. They also delivered more than we had asked for and created many additional elements to surprise us. Their personal touch made us feel really special. We would always recommend them strongly”.

Mehndi
A bright yellow pathway with a white and black chevron print and a canopy of colorful origami streamers welcomed the guests into the vibrant soiree. The couple entered dancing with their loved ones amidst dhol beats and smoke bombs. The bride opted for a mirror work lehenga by Kanika Kapoor in hues of yellow, orange and sky blue to vibe with the energy of the occasion, while the groom wore a stunning hand-painted Bandi jacket attire by Tisa.

The bright colors and quirky decor married perfectly with the surrounding greenery to set a lively mood. Colorful origami designs, overhead streams, flowers, pom-poms and tassels further infused a bright energy, while teepees with tinsels, drapes and fairy lights added a charming boho touch even as the eclectic dance floor welcomed everyone to groove the night away.

The highlight however, was the special setup made by the planners for the bride that paid a heartwarming tribute to her late parents and other family members who had passed away, so she could feel their presence on this day. With a stunning backdrop of flowers and foliage, the setup was further decked up with candles and other props for a serene effect filling the joyous evening with warm emotions. The evening was filled with music, dance and non-stop merriment.
