This traditional wedding in Jaipur inspired by the temples of South India was brought to life by Celebrations.
Matches are made in heaven but weddings are crafted right here. Poojitha and Naveen definitely got to live their dream wedding as WeddingSutra Favorite Celebrations designed their big day to perfection.
Poojitha and Naveen chose JW Marriot Jaipur Resort & Spa as the venue for their destination wedding. With versatile indoor and outdoor spaces, each function had a unique vibe and the wedding designers, Celebrations made sure the aesthetics resonated with the mood and significance of each ceremony.
The mehendi was inspired by the ‘Colors of Jaipur’. The JW Marriott’s beautiful interiors were a great canvas to build on with key décor elements including blue pottery, Sanghanair prints, a green bar and lots of pastels by the pool.
Cocktails and mocktails were tweaked to match the décor and color scheme and the cabanas were fitted with fabric to resonate with the rest of the palette.
The bridal lounge had a Flower Shower ceiling. The floral theme continued in the seating for the bride and her bridesmaids. For entertainment, guests could take part in live bangle making, digital caricatures, live umbrella painting, nail art and an interactive chana chor garam stall.
It was an ‘Under The Stars’ theme for the Sangeet. The event production team transformed the venue with gorgeous ‘sky’ elements – crystals, glass birds and mirrors. The family’s association with Tollywood and their love for dance and entertainment inspired the idea of an LED stage-wall at the back accentuated with light sticks. With sofas, chairs and table linen in all black, the stunning floral centerpieces stood out.
The big day for Poojitha and Naveen arrived on the 14th of October 2018. The Sundarban Lawns of the JW Marriott were adorned with various eye-catching elements resonant with the ‘Temples Of South India With A Twist’ theme.
The entrance to the venue was bedecked in flowers while mirror-mosaic, life sized elephants were stationed to welcome guests. The pillars and head of the Vidhi Mandap were inspired by the temples of South India while the backdrop was a Tanjore Painting of Lord Ganesha made with real gold. The floral chandeliers created especially for the occasion complemented the life-size Vishnu Nama studded with flowers.
The wedding celebrations were wrapped up with a traditional South Indian dinner (Sadhya) served in the dining lounge. The evening’s entertainment included various dance performances, making it the perfect end to the festivities.
