For couples who want a beach wedding, Goa is the first destination in India that comes to mind. It’s the unofficial party capital of India, and packs in a plethora of attractions – from warm beaches, heritage structures, leafy villas and lush properties. Heavenly Hawaii
Making the most of the beaches and swaying palm trees of Goa, and taking it a notch further, this tropical wedding kicked off with an exotic evening escape to Hawaii. The vibrant sundowner was a riot of colours, with flamingos, pineapples and tribal art making up the decor, and streamers of multicoloured tassels criss-crossing overhead. Wearing floral wreaths and leis, the couple and their guests enjoyed tropical-themed games and entertainment.
Sentimental Sunset
Held at the picturesque Cidade De Goa, this Indo-Irish wedding was a symphony of the diverse customs of the two families and their diverse cultures. The bride walked down the beach in a white Aurora style gown, and the couple wed at sunset, taking their vows under an arch of assorted white blooms that looked surreal against the amber glow of the horizon. The nuptials were followed by an intimate dinner on the lawn of the property. With elegant tables, white floral centerpieces, twinkling fairy lights, hanging rice paper lanterns and love quotes on wooden signs, the decor was all about rustic chic and went perfectly with the cozy event.
Crazy Carnival
Having wed in Paris earlier, the Article 377 ruling inspired hotelier Keshav Suri and his husband Cyril to renew their vows via a grand, gorgeous Indian wedding! Held at The Lalit, Goa, it was a celebration of their love and everything they had overcome. However, the highlight was the 80s’ glam drag night bash. Featuring amazing acrobatic performances by drag divas, hit DJs and Cyril spinning tracks, fabulous costumes and neon light setups, this evening was no less than a heady, rocking carnival.
Enchanting Engagement
With the perfect backdrop for the couple wearing regal attires, this glitzy engagement night was as classy as it gets. Arrangements of white cherry blossoms wrapped around twigs and white lanterns made for a mystical entrance as guests walked in under a canopy of crystal danglers toward the sprawling stage. The couple exchanged rings and danced as confetti descended upon them and fireworks lit up the sky.
Fuchsia Fairyland
Move over roses! This mandap with green foliage interwoven with bougainvillea flowers makes for an au naturel setup. Stunning fuschia offers a beautiful contrast to the clear blue skies and the ocean at this daytime wedding. A color palette of ivory and pink is used for the other decor elements, and these pair well with the couple’s beige and blush ensembles.
