Three inspiring looks for trendy South Indian brides
Amp up those gorgeous silks and traditional temple jewellery with bold brows and standout lips.
Simple, subtle and yet so elegant, South Indian weddings are a beautiful fusion of rituals, fragrant blooms, delicious cuisine, elegant ethnic ensembles and unique customs. The South Indian wedding ceremony is called ‘muhurtham,’ and it is an occasion when ladies wear stylish silk sarees, gold jewellery and garlands in their hair.
Blending a traditional vibe with contemporary bridal trends, renowned makeup artist Kajol R Paswwan curated three gorgeous South Indian bridal looks using products from Lakmé Absolute. The longevity, rich pigments, and ease of application of the products ensured flawless makeovers that lasted throughout the day. The brides were dressed in gorgeous South Indian attires and wore the prettiest of traditional baubles designed by Kalyan Jewellers.
Here’s a peek at the three distinctive looks:
Dark, well-defined brows are a clever way to break away from subtle, monotonous bridal looks. The Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown added sharpness and elegance to bride Bhagyashree’s eyebrows. Her cheeks glowed with a touch of the Lakmé Absolute Bronzer in Sun Kissed and highlighted using the Lakmé Absolute Moon Light Highlighter. Kajol deepened the bride’s lips with the Lakmé Absolute Matte Revolution Lip Color in Mauve Mania that was light as a feather and yet pigmented the bride’s lips to perfection.
Bride Krupali’s dewy bridal glow was created by Kajol with the help of Lakmé Absolute Blur Perfect Primer followed by the Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse in Ivory Fair which she used to achieve a long-lasting base. Luscious hues from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in French Rose were swiped and blended across her eyelids. The final touches were given to her cheeks using the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Rose Blush. The Lakmé Absolute Matte Revolution Lip Color in Vintage Rust was used to give Krupali’s lips a standout look.
Bride Anviksha’s bold and luscious pout was thanks to the Lakmé Absolute Matte Revolution Lip Color in Nutty Chocolate which gave her a quintessential Indian bridal look. Kajol glided the lipstick across the bride’s lips wrapping them in its rich pigment without weighing them down, unlike other matte lipsticks available in the market. Her eyes were defined using the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Royal Persia and the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate. With the help of the Lakme Absolute Shimmer Brick in Coral, Kajol added a touch of glowing color to the bride’s cheeks.
