Team WeddingSutra collaborates with Manubhai Jewellers using their gorgeous jewellery to adorn bridal creations by emerging designer Disha Patil

Our most recent StyleSpotting feature found inspiration in Disha Patil’s wedding wear collection. Her Pret. Couture is fun and glamourous with a refreshing laissez-faire. The label places emphasis on attractive, detailed silhouettes, rich hues and intricate Zardosi embroidery with an avant-garde inflection.This is how we styled two of Disha Patil bridal lehengas to complement Manubhai Jeweller’s exquisite bridal jewellery.

Ivory lehenga
Adorn yourself in this intricate pearl and dori, hand-embroidered lehenga. A luxe pairing of ivory and sindoor, it radiates a regal ethnicity.

Look 1
This 22karat pure gold neckpiece is the perfect choker, with a layer of intricately carved gold leaves. The set is rendered unique with semi precious stones, blue enameling and South Sea pearls.

Look 2
This 22karat pure gold neckpiece is inspired by the Maharani Haar. It comprises of multiple layers of goldnakshi beads, South Sea pearls and a chain of gold beads. The design comes together with peacock motifs embedded in semi precious stones and enameling.

This piece combines the kantha and a smaller choker. In 22K pure gold, the choker is festooned with whiteparabs, semi-precious rubies in an invisible setting and gold beands. The kantha has multiple layers of goldnakshi beads, South Sea pearls amidst semi-precious rubies and jade.

Look 2
This gold choker with traditional chitrayi and kundan karigari can be paired with this statement cuff in 22karat gold. The cuff is set with semi-precious stones; white parabs, green onyx and red garnets. The edge of the cuff has been delicately wrought with keshi pearls.

Graduating with a BFA degree in Design from the Sir JJ School of Arts, designing has always been Disha’s passion whether to create brand identities or apparel.

After graduating, Disha founded OOB Design Studio for her graphic design work and Disha Patil Pret. Couture. – her very own fashion label. Her design philosophy has always been a reflection of her own personality and perception of the world around her.

After unprecedented success last year ‘Disha Patil’ is making strides in festive and wedding wear collection. Her style is effervescent, evident in her collection that spans the design aesthetic from ultramodern to ethnic with its focus on intricate Zardosi hand-embroidery used in unique ways.
