Sisters of the Bride: Pankhuri and Aishwarya
This Interior Designer infused her love of creativity in curating couture bridesmaids’ wardrobes.
Elder sister of the bride, Pankhuri Agarwal relied upon her love for all things creative to plan and execute her sister’s wedding to perfection, including the dazzling bridesmaids’ wardrobes for herself and her New York-based younger sister Aishwarya. Resplendent in stunningly thought out ensembles, they served up some great inspiration for the wedding season.
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
For the traditional, vibrant Mehndi, Pankhuri and Aishwarya sought out Pooja Rajgharia for her bright and trendy designs for the perfect ensemble. Pankhuri’s aubergine lehenga was aglow with intricate yet contemporary gold work, flawlessly paired up with polki and pearl jewelry. She teamed her outfit with an elegant, sleek low ponytail and demure makeup with a popping magenta lip color that added a whole touch of glam.
Aishwarya looked radiant in a acid green lehenga with green and gold embroidery, teamed with minimal Polki jewellery to keep the ensemble youthful. She flaunted her gorgeous locks in soft, open waves and kept her makeup dewy and fresh, adding a pop of color with bright orange lips.
Sangeet
The glamorous sangeet demanded a sparkling outfit, for which both Pankhuri and Aishwarya selected stunning lavender creations by Dolly J. Aishwarya opted for an embellished flowing gown, while Pankhuri’s embellished top was perfectly styled with a lehenga and a ruffled sheer dupatta to add a touch of chic to her look. Exquisite diamond jewelry and a sleek pulled back chignon completed her look, while Aishwarya kept it breezy with open waves.
Pool party
For the tropical pool party, Pankhuri stood out in a ruched pleated red dress by Amit Aggarwal that was as breezy as the statement it created. Aishwarya slayed in a vivid blue Ellie Wild silk skirt with painted flowers, teamed with a cold shoulder crop top. Soft wavy locks, bold red lips and sunglasses added just the right doze of oomph to their looks.
Pheras
For the sunset beach wedding, Pankhuri opted for an eclectic aqua blue lehenga by Aisha Rao, that invoked a feeling of tropical bliss with its colorful and unique appliqué work. A statement neckpiece of large pearls and colorful stones adorned her neck, while her elaborate braided hairstyle with open curls, which was embellished with flowers, added just the right amount of magic.
Aishwarya donned a bespoke champagne gold lehenga with intricate embellishments that she designed herself to perfectly complement the bride’s red ensemble. She balanced her rich lehenga with elegant open waves and delicate jewellery, and her dewy visage, smokey eyes and soft rose lips finished off the look perfectly.
