WeddingSutra took its most popular bridal initiative, WeddingSutra on Location to the gorgeous vistas and warm hospitality of the Sultanate of Oman. The two resplendent leisure properties where the shoot was hosted- Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, combined with the undulating Omani dunes, beautiful beaches and dramatic mountain backdrops made for a unforgettable wedding rehearsal experience for 3 lucky WeddingSutra Readers.

Here, in the last of the three-part series, bride-to-be Anooja writes about her unique experience with WeddingSutra on Location in Oman.

“I am a long time admirer of the WeddingSutra blog. They’ve been an essential element in my wedding daydreams over the years. Imagine my utter delight when they approached my fiancé and I with the idea of a pre-wedding shoot in exotic Oman!

Our shoot with WeddingSutra was my first encounter with Oman and I have to hand it to Team WeddingSutra for choosing such a beautiful destination. The capital city of Muscat lies surrounded by mountain ranges stretching all the way to the Arabian Sea. The beauty of the city and the warmth of its gracious hosts held us in awe from the moment we landed.

We stayed at the Al-Bustan Palace and the Shangrila Barr-al-Jissah, both of which had pristine beaches, lush gardens and tall date palms. The scenic backdrops, Oman’s traditional hospitality and WeddingSutra’s meticulous planning set the tone for a fantastic pre-wedding shoot.

A brilliant array of outfits and a stunning collection of jewellery had me in wedding wonderland. Makeup artist Amrita Sanghavi really helped accomplish the look I wanted. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and her valuable tips will go a long way.

Photographers Ashwin and Jhalak of Shades Photography were extremely creative and brought glamour to the shoot while they captured the love and chemistry my fiancé and I share.

The locations, outfits, setting, hospitality and effort made by Team WeddingSutra made us feel like royalty! The results were the perfect rehearsal of my much anticipated D-day.”
