Discover her transformation at Grand WeddingSutra on Location held at JW Marriott Sahar
For the grand edition of our monthly event WeddingSutra on Location, we invited seven brides-to-be for a unique experience at the newest five star hotel in Mumbai, JW Marriott Sahar. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and a Photo Shoot, each of the participants got an opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.
Here, in the sixth of the seven-part series, Ashita Nagori from Pune writes about her experience at the Grand WeddingSutra on Location.
“I have been following WeddingSutra since long, but after a close friend participated in WeddingSutra on Location, I got hooked on to the website and was keen to be a part of On Location. A few weeks later when I received an email from Team WeddingSutra confirming my participation, I was very happy! I had read all the previous blogs and how much fun other brides had, so I walked into JW Marriott Sahar knowing this would be an awesome experience– it turned out to be super-awesome and much more!
The bridal suite on the 10th floor was brimming with activity, gorgeous lehengas and jewellery all over the place and brides-to-be getting dressed by Ojas Rajani and her team. WeddingSutra’s Editorial team introduced me to everyone and we started looking at the bridal lehengas from multi-designer store AZA. All the lehengas were stunning and perfect for a summer wedding. I tried on a few and finally chose a royal blue lehenga, a creation by designer Ritika Mirchandani, it consisted of a flowy lehenga, a choli with silver gota work and a dupatta with mirror work.
Next it was time for hair and make up. And what would you do if you are in hands of celebrity makeup artist Ojas? I decided to leave it to her, to dress me the way she’d like too. She is not just a magician, she is great fun to be with and the experience of getting ready with make-up and hairstyling didn’t seem stressful or tiring. After my makeup was done, she accessorized my outfit with a delicate maang tikka, and a floral design necklace set from Azva.
We then proceeded for the photo shoot at the outdoor venues of JW Marriott Sahar. Ace photographers Ashwin and Jhalak of Shades shared a few tips on posture, and how to use eyes ‘dramatically’ for a photo session. It was fun to face the lights but the highlight of the whole experience, was when they asked me step up, move and twirl the lehenga- this was truly uplifting! And with that we called it a day.”
Ashita’s Look
To compliment Ashita’s blue lehenga, Ojas decided to add a hint of color and play around with the eye makeup. After creating the base with the feather-light Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse in Ivory Fair and setting it with the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Compact in Ivory Fair, Ojas started highlighting Ashita’s eyes. She used the Lakmé Absolute Color Illusion Pearl Shadow in Peach Pearl on her eyelids and gave a duo-shade effect with a slight hint of the Lakmé Absolute Drama Stylist Shadows Duo in Pink Wink. She then lined her eyes with the Lakmé Absolute Gel Addict eyeliner in Black and finished with a few coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara for an open-eyed look. Ojas kept her face fresh and pretty by using the summery Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Peach Blush shade on the apples of her cheeks. To add a pop of color to her lips, Ojas used the Lakmé Absolute Gloss Addict in Very Berry shade. She then added extensions to her hair and styled them with soft out curls.
