Behind The Scenes – Kalyan Jewellers, Vashi
Discover India’s cultural heritage and bridal style with Kalyan Jewellers and Lakmé Absolute.
A land of rich cultural diversity, India often preserves its myriad distinctive identities through garments and ornaments which are an expression of its different ethnic backgrounds. In a country where clothing styles share a deep connect with traditions, it comes as no surprise that every bride brings along a touch of regional uniqueness to her look on her big day. In the latest edition of WeddingSutra on Location along with Kalyan Jewellers we imagined looks for the Marwari, Sikh and Gujarati bride. The fine jewellery cast in 22karat gold drew inspiration from their distinctive cultures and celebrated their individuality, making it priceless additions to their trousseau.
The jewellery pieces were selected keeping in mind the details of the outfits that the girls were going to slip into. We picked from some of the finest creations by two of India’s leading fashion designers – Dolly J and Jayanti Reddy. While billowing skirts with intricate embroidery paired with rich drapes had the girls looking breathtaking, it was the hairstyling by Bhagyashree and makeup by Sejal Sachnakul that completed their bridal getup. Sejal conjured up exclusive looks that were the right match for their features using products by Lakmé Absolute. While she played with different products for each of their looks, a consistent feature amongst all of them was the Lakmé Absolute Matte Revolution Lip Color. The lipstick offered to the girls the nourishment of raspberry seed oil and its long-lasting quality ensured that their pout looked perfect all through the day without any touchups.
