Soon-to-wed Bhumika Mallick looked like a picture perfect bride with her flawless makeup, exquisite pink lehenga and matching jewelry.
WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative, WeddingSutra On Location, was held at the beautiful Vivanta By Taj – MG Road, Bangalore. In the first of this two-part series, Bhumika Mallick shares her memorable moments of her WeddingSutra On Location experience.
Bhumika’s breathtaking bridal makeover was the result of attention to detail and impeccable style. Armadio, a multi-designer clothing store in Bangalore, helped her with an outfit that reflected her personality, and exquisite jewellery from Azva went beautifully with the lehenga. Her bridal look was further enhanced by the team from GlossNGlass who used products from the Lakmé Absolute range. Bhumika shared her experience and posed confidently for the camera as the North Water Star captured photos of this memorable occasion.
Once Bhumika arrived at the Armadio store, she was shown a wide range of lehengas. But she found the one she liked the best in just a few moments. “I knew this pink creation was the lehenga for me the minute I laid my eyes on it. I tried it on and fell completely in love with everything about it – the colors, embroidery and the way it looked on me. This was probably one of the most exquisite lehengas I have ever worn so far, and a part of me wished I had checked out the range at Armadio before I finalized my wedding lehenga,” says Bhumika.
Once the lehenga were sorted, it was time to pick out matching accessories. Bhumika went ahead with a gold choker set from Azva along with gold ‘kadas’ (bracelets) and bespoke rings. Impressed by the craftsmanship of the pieces she says “ All the pieces that I wore were comfortable. They looked heavy but did not weigh me down. The detailing on the jewellery I wore was phenomenal and went well with my ensemble. Another thing that I must mention – I never liked chokers on me until I tried this one. Now my opinion had changed completely!”
In conversation, we got to know this was the first time Bhumika was doing a photo shoot, and she elaborated about her experience with North Water Star. “Photoshoots make me apprehensive because I never know what to do in front of the camera. However, the vibe at the photo shoot was different. Pulkesin was friendly and relaxed, which took away my inhibitions completely. The general atmosphere was fun with everyone joking and being themselves.”
She went on to talk about her hair and makeup by GlossNGlass “Once Dipanwita was done, I was pleasantly surprised. I looked completely different from the way I usually do, but only in a good way. My complexion is slightly dusky, and makeup artists usually try to work against by using much lighter foundation to make me look fair. She accepted my color for what it is and gave me a look that suited my skin as well as my clothes. Even her eye makeup was perfectly balanced and not loud. I loved how they worked with my hair which is straight and never retains any texture or styling. But, somehow, Dipanwita managed to make the waves in my hair stay throughout the entire WeddingSutra on Location photo shoot.”
A thrilled Bhumika signs of by summing up her experience of the day. She says, “It was such a lovely day, and WeddingSutra pampered me like it was my wedding! The best setting at a beautiful hotel, a top makeup artist, a leading wedding photographer, high-end designer wear, exquisite jewellery and so much care – my real wedding day has some tough competition already! I was a fan of WeddingSutra from the first day that I found out about it. I also learned some styling and makeup tricks that I hope to use on my wedding day to look like a true WeddingSutra bride.”
Bhumika’s Look
Dipanwita started by applying Lakmé Absolute Skin Natural Mousse – Hydrating to Bhumika’s skin to help her get a healthy glow. Using the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet And Dry Compact she set the foundation in, giving her a clean base to work on. Next, it was time to add some intensity to Bhumika’s eyes. Dipanwita achieved that with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette – Gold and lined her eyes using Lakmé Absolute Gel Addict. To give her a blush fit for a bride she used Lakme Absolute Illuminating Blush Shimmer Brick In Pink. For the final touch, Dipanwita used Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout – Matte in Pink Fantasy and our bride-to-be was ready for the camera!
