Chandni Tolani – Krasaa by Vikram Phadnis

In this edition of WeddingSutra On Location, three brides-to-be were invited to the multi-designer store, Krasaa by Vikram Phadnis in Juhu, Mumbai. Under the eagle eyes of our bridal experts, the brides-to-be were given a style consultation and a makeover. We captured the gorgeous results for posterity with a photo-shoot.

Here, in the first of the three-part series, bride-to-be Chandni Tolani tells us about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at Krasaa by Vikram Phadnis.

We all want that big day to arrive as soon as possible, but it also seems that there’s never enough time to prepare. WeddingSutra has been invaluable to brides like me; an end-to-end directory of everything your wedding could be. I’ve been glancing through their options on everything from stationery to wedding outfits. So when I received a confirmation from WeddingSutra for their much talked about ‘On Location’ shoot it was a day I was really looking forward to.

I reached Vikram Phadnis’ store, Krasaa on a sunny morning and was introduced to the entire team. We were shown the bridal collection which was dominated by pastel greens and baby pinks. After trying out a couple of lehengas, I decided to deviate from the conventional and picked the most gorgeous yellow lehenga! Yes, a bright, sunshiny yellow that matched my personality brilliantly!

With the outfit finalized, it was time to start make-up and hair. The MyGlamm team was on hand to ‘glam’ us up and they did a great job understanding our skin tone and textures, preferences and thoughtfully working with us.

Then we had to pick jewellery from an array of gorgeous neckpieces, earrings and maang tikkas by Tara Jewels.

Step 3 was picking the jewellery. We had options to choose from the gorgeous neckpieces, earrings and maang tikkas by Tara Jewellers. I picked one that matched my outfit perfectly!

All dolled up, it was SHOWTIME! Dev, our wonderful photographer, made us feel extremely comfortable. He made it seem like posing wasn’t too hard when trust me, it is! The entire experience was like a big, fancy wedding rehearsal and we got to play ‘dress-up’ in the most elaborate way!

Chandni’s Look

Team MyGlamm decided to give Chandni a mehndi look with soft and subtle makeup. Head makeup artist Bijon started with creating a base with Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Foundation in Golden Medium on her face and some Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Concealer in Medium shade under her eyes. He then set the base with the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Compact in Golden Medium. He applied the Lakmé Absolute Eye Chromatic Baked Shadow in Day Shimmer all over her eyelid and lined her eyes with just a thin stroke of the Lakmé Absolute Shine Line in Black. He then added a few coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volumizing Mascara to her lashes. He used the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Coral Blush onto her cheeks to give a happy bridal flushed look. Bijon then applied the Orange Candy shade of Lakmé Absolute Gloss Addict on her lips to add a pop of color to Chandni’s mehndi look. Finally her hair was styled with soft curls on one side.
