WeddingSutra held its most popular bridal initiative, WeddingSutra On Location at the Taj, Land’s End, Mumbai to showcase the best in bridal style from Kalki, this wedding season. Catch photographer Dev Purbiya's snapshots of the style consultation and incredible makeover of the beautiful brides-to-be with a little help from make-up artist Bel Jane Fonseca for Lakmé Absolute and stunning heirloom jewelry by Azva.
In the second of this three-part series, bride-to-be Heeta Vithalani tells us about her experience with WeddingSutra On Location at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
“I’d been trying to be a part of WeddingSutra on Location for months and was elated when I was selected for this wonderful experience!
From the minute I entered the beautiful suite at the Taj Land’s End, every single detail was taken care of. The team made us feel so comfortable even down to making sure we were well fed during the shoot.
The Kalki lehenga I wore suited me, and my taste perfectly! It was love at first sight and I was sure it would look great on me. It was bright pink with an eye-catching gold blouse and it enhanced my complexion.
Then I accessorized with beautiful antique heirloom jewelry by Azva. It accentuated my look and I loved the fact that the jewelry didn’t weight me down: the gorgeous polki necklace and earrings had the most stunning green stones that contrasted beautifully with my pink and gold ensemble.
I couldn’t thank Bel Jane enough for making me look so beautiful on the shoot. I loved my hair! And my make up was so dewy; the bold pink lipstick was a very stunning statement with the au naturel look. The total effect was super chic and I’m certain it looks even better in pictures!
And finally, the photo session was the best! Dev was super friendly and made me feel so much at ease. His tips were invaluable – he even helped me with poses that made all his captures look candid.
Overall, I thank WeddingSutra for such a brilliant opportunity and a fun ‘mock’ bridal experience.”
Heeta’s heavily embellished lehenga asked for a natural, dewy visage. Makeup artist Bel Jane evened her skin tone with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation. A generous brushing on of the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact around her T-Zone created a flawless canvas. Bel Jane then reflected Heeta’s gold blouse on her lids with a smudge of shimmer in gold from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette. Her eyes were lined with the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal in black to add dimension to her face. Long, fairy-tale lashes for fluttering came courtesy several coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara. A soft bridal blush was added with a touch of the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Rose and topped with the Lakmé Absolute Moon Light highlighter on the cheekbones and nose. The final touch was that bold lip with the Lakmé Absolute Sculpt Studio High Definition Matte Lipstick in Pink Glam that was equal parts dreamy and dramatic.
