Jueta, Taj Lands End, Mumbai

The latest edition of this popular bridal initiative took place at the swanky, seaside retreat, Taj Lands End, Mumbai where the hotel’s distinctive aesthetics made for some striking backdrops. In the third of this three-part series, bride-to-be Jueta gets candid and shares her experience of a gorgeous bridal makeover that transformed her into an epitome of grace.

Jueta comes from a place of expertise herself. As a wedding planner, she has been helping brides organize their big day for years. Now, when it is time to plan her own nuptials, she has a wealth of experience behind her. She says, “When you’re in a sea of beautiful weddings left, right and center every single day, you know what you need for your own big day and what the usual pitfalls are.” Honing her choices was very much part of the plan and this WeddingSutra on Location brought attire, make up and jewellery into prime focus for her.

Makeup artist Sejal Sachnakul of Makeovers by Sejal introduced the minimalist, nude lip trend via her trusted tools from Lakmé’s newest launch, the Kareena Kapoor Khan Collection. With a less-is-more approach, she conjured up a dreamlike look for Jueta while Manjula Sachin Jadhav styled her hair in accordance with the aesthetic.

Perfectly prepped, Jueta was adorned with beautifully designed ornaments from Rivaah by Tanishq. The handcrafted masterpieces added that requisite bridal opulence to the look.

Then, the WeddingSutra experts personally picked creations by one of Bollywood’s favorite designers, Manish Malhotra for the bride-to-be. The quintessential ‘Indian bride in her red lehenga’ was evoked in an outfit heavy with embroidery and dainty pearls.

As Jueta enjoyed her day of transformation, Natasha Samant of The Storyteller captured every stage of the makeover.

Jueta is always drawn to elegance with touch of the unique. She was thrilled with the stunning red lehenga by Manish Malhotra that Team WeddingSutra picked. She said, “I’ve always been a fan. It’s impossible to have been to the movies and not dreamed of wearing one of his creations on your big day. So, when I was informed that I had the chance to wear a lehenga designed by Bollywood’s favorite designer, I was more than excited. The outfit was truly stunning and it fit like a glove!”

All brides must pick their jewellery and for Jueta, she had to choose from exquisite pieces by one of India’s leading jewellery brands, Rivaah by Tanishq. Inspired by royal Indian heritage, the Rivaah by Tanishq set she wore showcases a symmetrical polki design set in gold – a dynamic statement for a contemporary bride. With a beautiful pair of earrings, a maang tika and a kada from the brand, her look was complete. Smitten by the brand’s designs that truly celebrate that special occasion, Jueta said, “The jewellery from Rivaah by Tanishq was breathtaking. The gleaming stones aligned perfectly to form patterns that showcased the fine detailing. And of course, everything went beautifully with my gorgeous outfit.”

For someone who doesn’t wear makeup often, Jueta was actually stunned with the look created by Sejal Sachnakul of Makeovers by Sejal. The delighted bride said, “Sejal knew exactly what I wanted and enhanced my overall appearance with her brilliant skills. I’m neither a beauty expert, nor do I wear make up regularly. Sejal really impressed me. Not only was her work fabulous but she’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever worked with.”

Once Sejal was done, Natasha of The Storyteller took over. The team’s efforts were well received by the bride-to-be who said, “Natasha made the entire shoot feel so effortless. She was very professional, helpful, and most importantly, patient with all of us.”

Jueta’s Look
The nude lip never really goes out of style and now, its subtle sophistication has stolen the spotlight. Believe the hype: the bare truth is, no matter what your complexion, there’s a nude for you! And with her glowing skin, Sejal Sachnakul encouraged Jueta to enhance her natural complexion on her big day with understated foundation and that nude lip.

At WeddingSutra On Location Sejal showed her how by beginning with the Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation in Ivory Cream you can achieve a clean canvas. She then used the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact to set the foundation. A flush to Jueta’s cheeks came courtesy the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Shimmer Brick. That nude lip was via the Lakme Kareena Kapoor Khan Absolute Lip Definer in Rouge.

And voila, you have a beautiful bride-to-be.
