Discover her transformation at WeddingSutra on Location held at AZA’s new store in Bandra, Mumbai
As part of our initiative WeddingSutra On Location, we invited four brides-to-be for a unique experience at AZA’s new store in Bandra, Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and a Photo Shoot, each of the participants got an opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.
Here, in the second of the four-part series, bride-to-be Kinnari Shah blogs about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at AZA.
“I visit WeddingSutra.com regularly and I think the most interesting feature on the e-zine is ‘WeddingSutra on Location’. It’s always fascinating to read the experiences of other brides-to-be. So, as soon as I got engaged I wrote to WeddingSutra expressing my interest in ‘WeddingSutra On Location’. I got a reply some weeks later inviting me for the upcoming shoot at AZA’s new store in Bandra. The best part was that my close friend Anisha was also selected to be a part of the same shoot.
Anisha and I travelled to the AZA store together and were welcomed by team WeddingSutra who first started with helping us explore the collection of bridal lehengas. I closely looked at a few options, but what caught my eye was a beautiful bridal lehenga by Delhi designer Anju Modi in red and gold and with intricate thread work. I think it fit me well, and I really liked its trendy gold halter choli which edged up the traditional lehenga.
After my outfit was finalized, I was introduced to Makeup Artist Amrita Sanghavi who spent some time trying to understand my preferences. I told her I am quite experimental when it comes to trying out new looks, so I agreed to what she recommended- dramatic eyelashes and bold lips. She used minimal foundation and that’s the way I like it. I didn’t want an updo so she gave me gentle curls and waves and pinned back the hair in front for an elegant look.
Next, it was time to select jewellery. Azva’s pieces are in gold but very contemporary in design. Team WeddingSutra chose for me a set that comprised of a layered necklace and matching earrings to complete my bridal look.
Finally, it was time to pose. I love facing the camera so this was something I was looking forward to. Photographers Ashwin & Jhalak of Shades are great at their work, and getting photographed by them was a fun experience.
I would recommend WeddingSutra on Location to all brides who want to feel more prepared for their D-Day. I for sure felt like I knew what I wanted on my wedding day as soon as I stepped out of AZA!”
Kinnari‘s Look
Kinnari has deep-set eyes, hence makeup artist Amrita Sanghavi decided to highlight them and add more drama. After creating a makeup base with Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse in Ivory Fair, Amrita applied Lakmé Absolute Colour Illusion Shadow in Gold Pearl on Kinnari’s eyelids. She then gave her alluring winged out eyes with Lakmé Absolute Gel Addict Eyeliner in Black and Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara. Amrita used strong luxe eye lash extensions to add drama to Kinnari’s look. For defining her lower lash line, Amrita used the Lakmé Absolute Gel Addict Eyeliner in Metallic Bronze. Since the highlight of Kinnari’s look were her lashes and bold lips, Amrita kept the blush very muted and applied the Peach Blush shade from the Lakmé Absolute Face stylist blush duos on the apples of her cheeks. She also used the Lakmé Absolute Moonlit Highlighter to softly contour and highlight a sharper jawline and high cheekbones. She finally gave her bold lips with Lakmé Absolute Gloss Addict in Red Delight.
