Krishma Doshi – JW Marriott

For the grand edition of our monthly event WeddingSutra on Location, we invited seven brides-to-be for a unique experience at the newest five star hotel in Mumbai, JW Marriott Sahar. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and a Photo Shoot, each of the participants got an opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.

Here, in the last of the seven-part series, bride-to-be Krishma Doshi blogs about her experience at the Grand WeddingSutra on Location.

“Like most brides-to-be who are hooked on to WeddingSutra, I too have been constantly visiting their website and FB page. I have been noticing the beautiful makeovers at WeddingSutra on Location, and how it is the best rehearsal platform for a bride-to-be. I was keen to participate but I didn’t write in, until a friend convinced me to; and to my pleasant surprise I received a confirmation for their upcoming On Location shoot! What made it even more special and exciting is when I found out that it was their grand edition of WeddingSutra on Location.

I made my way to the new JW Marriott which is right next to the international airport in Sahar where I met Team WeddingSutra who were busy coordinating it all. After a quick round of introductions I was shown the creations they had sourced from different designer and multi-designer stores in the city. They asked me to try an unusual creation  designed by ace bollywood Designer Neeta Lulla. It was an orange and green combination lehenga with a traditional feel. I tried it on, loved it and immediately gave WeddingSutra my ‘yes’.

Next was Makeup and Hairstyling time with Ojas Rajani whose work I have always admired. Needless to say it was quite an experience to get dressed by her; after it was done, I looked at myself in the mirror and was elated to witness the transformation.

Next up was jewellery by Azva. Team WeddingSutra picked a chunky gold neckpiece and earring set to match the traditional-contemporary lehenga and to complete the look. Finally it was time for my favorite part of the experience, the photo shoot. Photographers Ashwin and Jhalak are very friendly and just the kind of people I’d like to have as my wedding photographers. After some friendly chat and giggles, the posed and candid moments were shot by the duo and it was time to wrap up. I left after thanking team WeddingSutra and the experts for giving me an experience that was new, enriching and energizing.

Krishma’s Look
As Krishma’s outfit was very earthy and traditional, Ojas decided to give a trendy spin to her hair and makeup. After creating the base with the feather-light Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse in Ivory Fair and setting it with the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Compact in Ivory Fair, Ojas highlighted Krishma’s eyes by applying Lakmé Absolute Drama Stylist Shadow Crayon in Olive and Bronze on her eyelids to compliment her outfit. She then lined her eyes with the Lakmé Absolute Gel Addict eyeliner in Black and finished with a few coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara. Ojas then contoured her face with the Lakmé Absolute Sun-Kissed Bronzer. For her lips, Ojas used a subtle Red Delight shade of Lakmé Absolute Gloss Addict lipstick range. Since Krishma has short hair, Ojas decided to add hair extensions on both sides and placed the hair over the shoulders in front for a fresh look. Soft tongs were used to create natural waves and the hair on the crown area was given more volume.
