Witness the stunning transformation of Krupali into a gorgeous Malayali bride with 'WeddingSutra on Location' at Jade Garden, Mumbai.
WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative, ‘WeddingSutra on Location,’ was held at the picturesque Jade Garden at Worli in Mumbai. In the last of this three-part series, Krupali, who will be tying the knot soon, was treated to a glamorous makeover that comprised a dazzling designer outfit, exquisite bridal jewellery and standout makeup.
Dressed in a pristine white traditional mundu-style lehenga from Warp ‘n Weft, Krupali was an epitome of Malayali bridal beauty when she donned traditional gold ornaments from South India’s favourite jewellery brand – Kalyan Jewellers. Makeup maestro Kajol Paswwan created magic on the bride’s face with subtle strokes of her brush, while Picture Perfect India captured the nuances of her transformation perfectly.
Recollecting the experience, Krupali says, “I couldn’t believe my luck when WeddingSutra accepted my application for the ‘WeddingSutra On Location’ bridal makeover. The platform has always been a one-stop destination for all my wedding planning queries since my nuptials date was fixed, and I was very thrilled to be given this opportunity.”
Krupali commenced the day by selecting the jewellery. Although she kept insisting intially that she wasn’t much of a gold person, she was enchanted with the ornaments presented to her. The beautiful jewellery chosen for her was from the Kalyan Jewellers Muhurat Collection. The exquisiteness of the designs and the hints of colour added the right poise to her bridal look. Closest to the bride’s neck was a gorgeous Rajasthani Hasli style contemporary neckpiece, embellished with pearls and gemstones. Staying in tune with tradition, the Palakka Mala, a longer necklace in a fiery red hue, drew instant attention against the subtle colours of her outfit. Adding to this grandeur was a Kuwaiti style re-creation of the beautiful Maanga Mala design that resembled the paisley design on her outfit. Adorning the bride’s hands were heavy gold bangles with intricate detailing that matched with a Navrathna contemporary ring and a grand Kundan cocktail ring. To complete this look, she also wore grand Jhumkas and a divine maang tikka from the Kalyan Jewellers temple jewellery collection that beautifully framed her face.”
Stylist Shikha Dhandhiya chose the mundu-style white lehenga designed by Warp ‘n Weft for Krupa which was a perfect pick for her Malayali look. The white and golden combination enhanced Krupali’s features and the rich silk from which the lehenga was crafted glowed in the sunlight.
Talking about her makeover, Krupali added, “Kajol gave me a very subtle, dewy look with well-defined brows and bold lips. I really loved the way she studied my facial features before starting my makeup, and the final result was really stunning. I couldn’t help but fall in love with myself!”
As the team of Picture Perfect India shot her, Krupali couldn’t help but express her appreciation for their work. She says, “The photographers ensured that I was very comfortable throughout the shoot as they could probably sense that I was a little apprehensive. They were very friendly and explained everything to me very well till I was comfortable facing their lens.”
Krupali’s Look
Keeping in mind the simplicity of Krupali’s outfit, Kajol stuck to giving her an understated elegant look. She started with the Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation. Then the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact was patted on her face to perfect her complexion. With the help of the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Royal Persia, Kajol intensified the bride’s eyes with a smokey finish, and darkened them with the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate. With the help of the Lakme Absolute Shimmer Brick in Coral, she added a touch of color to her cheeks and applied the Lakmé Absolute Matte Revolution Lip Color in Vintage Rust to highlight her pout with long-wearing rich pigments.
