Peek into Neha Khitani’s day with WeddingSutra On Location as some of WeddingSutra’s Favourites came together to give her a striking bridal makeover.
WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative, WeddingSutra On Location, was held at the beautiful JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu. In the third of this three-part series, bride-to-be Neha Khitani was treated to a transformation where some of the best from the industry got together to make her day a memorable one.
A vision in a contemporary lehenga by Payal Singhal, Neha wore bespoke jewellery from Azva and was made up by Shaili Shah who used the Lakmé Absolute range of fine cosmetics. With hair by stylist Meera Singh, Neha’s dress rehearsal for her wedding was complete. Knotting Bells clicked away, through the day capturing some arresting pictures of Neha which she is sure to cherish.
On her arrival, Neha was ushered into a plush suite where she was given the day’s most important task – picking a lehenga that resonated with her personal sense of style. A combination of sharp geometric lines on the skirt contrasting with soft floral motifs on the blouse and a precise color palette immediately lured Neha. This lehenga by Payal Singhal was exactly ‘her’, Neha says, “I loved everything about the ensemble! The colors, embroidery and the way it looked on me; it was easily one of the most exquisite lehengas I have ever worn. The piece was very classy and I’m definitely checking this one out again when it’s time for me to buy y wedding outfit.”
While the bride’s trousseau is what everyone is interested in, its her jewellery that takes the look to the next level. Neha matched her clothes with a wonderful set by Azva and showed us that she knew exactly how to be the bride everyone will be talking about. The necklace she selected features seven floral motifs, each a representation of one of the seven vows of marriage. The piece features relief work in gold and the details will impress even the most discerning eye. “The necklace set was beautiful and I knew I wanted to wear it as soon I saw it,” Neha says, “What worked in my favor was the floral theme it shared with the blouse I was wearing. Each resonated with the other.” Neha also picked gold kadaas and statement rings featuring fine detailing and exceptional craft.
Outfit selections done, it was time for her to relax and let makeup artist Shaili Shah and hairstylist Meera Singh doll her up. The neutral palette of her outfit gave Shaili Shah the chance to play up the color on her visage; a rosy flush on her cheeks and berry kissed lips using products from the Lakmé Absolute range. Neha was in awe of Shalini’s skills, “I loved my eye makeup! It was neither too loud nor was it dull. She found the perfect balance and used just the right colors to complement the rest of the look.”
Meera then drew attention to that gorgeous face by sweeping her tresses into an elegant updo.
Team Knotting Bells didn’t let a single memorable moment escape their lenses. And Neha was very appreciative, “The team was so friendly. They were a delight to work with.”
As it was time to leave, she thanked WeddingSutra for the experience saying, “This was such an awesome day! I loved it so much and I would like to thank you for it!”
Neha Khitani’s Look
Shaili created a canvas with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation as prep for Neha’s skin. She then used the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact to ready that canvas to build the rest of the look on. She accentuated her eyes using the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette – Gold and lined them using the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal in Burnished Brown. The Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Rose Blush brought a glow to Neha’s complexion while Lakmé Absolute Crème Lipcolor in Flaming Plum was used to give her berry kissed lips.
