WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative was held at the luxurious store of SVA By Sonam & Paras Modi in Churchgate, Mumbai. In the second of this three-part series, Pooja Sinha gets her dream bridal look as she prepares for her forthcoming big day.
After finding Mr Right, the next task is finding the right lehenga. Whether its modern aesthetics or old-world charm, brides go weak in the knees when choosing from a rack laden with beautiful designer lehengas. Pooja was mesmerized by the dazzling display at the swanky store of SVA By Sonam & Paras Modi. Typical of brides who browse this talented duo’s wedding wear, she was enthralled by the selection.
The makeover process began with a look through the AZVA treasury of jewellery crafted by skilled artisans. With brides now being advised to pick jewellery along with their lehengas, Pooja found an intricate medallion set to go with her choice of a beautiful outfit by SVA By Sonam & Paras Modi. Makeup artist Sejal Sachnakul then created a glamorous look for her using products from the Lakmé Absolute that would match her selection perfectly. Photographer Anuraag Rathi captured every stage of this makeover for the bride to cherish and revisit her day of pampering and posing.
Pooja’s choice of a beautiful white lehenga embellished with bronze and gold embroidery exuded elegant charm. She paired her ensemble with a dupatta that had an intricate red border with embroidery all over. The gold medallion set from AZVA along with earrings, a gold bangle and a bespoke ring were perfect accessories. Impressed by the craftsmanship of the pieces she said, “For a bride, it is the jewellery that is the most essential part of the ensemble. The beautiful sets from AZVA enhance every bridal outfit whether it’s for a traditional ceremony or a reception party. These gold masterpieces add bling with a touch of tradition to every look.”
As for hair and make up, Pooja said she was thrilled, “Sejal was absolutely brilliant with her work. She knew exactly how I liked my makeup and gave me a look I was comfortable with. The look not only suited my skin but also my clothes.”
About the photographer Anuraag Rathi, Pooja shares, “I have never been in front of the camera before so this makeover was quite a challenge but Anuraag made it easy for me. He was extremely nice and made sure I was comfortable while I posed so he could capture the most flattering angles. Although I was nervous, he helped me with a few important tips that made it easy for me to just be confident in front of the camera. It was quite a lovely experience altogether.”
In conclusion, the bride to be said, “It was such an amazing experience! WeddingSutra made it all seem like it was actually my wedding! A talented makeup artist, a leading wedding photographer, high-end designer wear, beautiful jewellery and so much fun – it was perfect! I have been following WeddingSutra on all their social media platforms and thanks to the wedding inspiration and content, it’s now easier for me to make the right decisions for my big day.”
Sejal started by applying Lakmé Absolute Skin Natural Mousse – Hydrating to Pooja’s skin for a healthy glow. Using the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact she set the foundation, giving her a clean base to work on. She lined her eyelids using the Lakmé Absolute Forever Silk Eyeliner in Blacklast and used Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara to darken the lashes. The Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos gave Pooja a flush to her cheeks while the Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color in Soft Beige made for a perfect pout to finish the final look.
