WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative, ‘WeddingSutra On Location’, was held at the beautiful JW Marriott, Juhu in Mumbai. In the second of this three-part series, bride-to-be Priyanka was treated to a gorgeous bridal makeover that involved designer fashion, standout jewellery, and distinctive makeup.
Resplendent in a classic red lehenga from SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi, Priyanka looked stunning adorned in a statement necklace and intricate earrings from Azva. Makeup artist Shaili Shah enhanced her features and crafted a subtle glamor with the finest products from Lakmé Absolute. The entire experience was captured by WeddingSutra Favorite photographers Knotting Bells.
When the WeddingSutra team checked in on Priyanka, she told us that her wedding prep was in full swing and she’d derived much inspiration and a lot of ideas from WeddingSutra, “I was introduced to WeddingSutra by my sister-in-law and I have been following their social media channels for some time.” Her tryst with WeddingSutraOnLocation came via her fiancé, “My fiancée first heard about the WeddingSutra on Location opportunity and encouraged me to send an email. I soon received a confirmation – and here I am!”
Light, bright and exquisite – Priyanka’s red lehenga with a stylised blouse and dupatta was perfect for the occasion. This SVA creation from their ‘Naseem Bagh’ collection is inspired by leaves of the Chinar with elements and motifs from the Kashmir Valley. The dupatta’s beautiful borders added a festive touch to the entire ensemble. Priyanka says, “It suited my personality well and paired beautifully with the gorgeous jewellery from Azva.”
Priyanka’s picks from the jewellery by Azva were the perfect combination of sophistication and luxury; a gold floral neckpiece, gold bangles and bespoke rings. While the necklace brought even more luster to her ornate bridal look, the entire set evoked the significance of the seven sacred vows of marriage.
Then it was time for make-up. Priyanka says, “My experience with make up artist Shaili Shah was one of the best aspects of this shoot. She chose the best products from the Lakmé Absolute range to accentuate my natural features and give me an iridescent glow! The Knotting Bells team was so professional and helpful. They were patient, friendly and experts at making me feel comfortable in front of the camera.”
Priyanka’s Look
Shaili created an aura of elegant charm on Priyanka. She first evened out her skin tone with Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation. Using the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact, she then created a base for the rest of the makeup. To play up the drama in Priyanka’s eyes, Shaili pulled out the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette and added volume to her lashes using Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara. Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos was used to add just the right amount of flush to her cheeks, and the entire look came together once Shaili colored Priyanka’s lips with Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout Matte Lip Color in Red Coat.
