Discover the transformation of four lucky brides-to-be with WeddingSutra on Location at Aza

As part of our initiative ‘WeddingSutra on Location’, we invited four brides-to-be for a unique experience at AZA, the multi-designer store in Juhu, Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, a Makeover and a Photo Shoot, each of the participants got to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.

Here in the first of the four-part series, Rhea Patel, a Law Student and bride-to-be blogs about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at AZA.

“Me and my Wedding Planner Yamini Shah (The Wedding Designers) are both fans of WeddingSutra.com. One day while talking about Wedding Shopping, Yamini talked about WeddingSutra on Location and while I had briefly read about it on the website, I had no idea what an exciting concept it would be. She recommended I write to them which I did, and a few weeks later I was delighted when I received an invitation in my Inbox for their upcoming WeddingSutra on Location at AZA.

On the day of the event, I reached AZA earlier than the scheduled time (I wasn’t sure what the traffic would be like and I didn’t want to be late even by a minute!). Anshu and Tejal from WeddingSutra introduced me to the experts they had invited- Stylist Nisha Kundnani, Makeup Artist Recinda Martis and Candid Photographers Ashwin & Jhalak of Shades Photography. I also met three other brides-to-be who were a part of the shoot, it was nice chatting with them and we all talked about our plans. Now that I had got to know everyone on Location, it was time to start working on what-to-wear. Nisha Kundnani took me around, there were many vibrant options to choose from, but a cobalt blue lehenga by Delhi-based designers Madsam Tinzin caught my eye. It was embellished with beaded floral motifs, and paired with a blush-peach net dupatta. After I tried it on, I loved it even more, it was a great match of two contrasting colors, simple, yet classy. Nisha then helped me drape my dupatta and paired my lehenga with jewellery from Azva. The set she chose was elegant and contemporary and I think it truly enhanced the look.

With my outfit and jewellery selected, next it was time to get my hair and makeup done by Recinda. I left it to her to decide what look would suit me best, and I got talking to her about my wedding. She answered my questions on hair and make-up and shared some useful tips on big day dressing. Now I was ready and I loved the final look! The makeup was subtle, with an emphasis on the eyes.

I then headed for the photo shoot with Ashwin & Jhalak. I am usually very shy in front of the camera but with both of them I felt very comfortable and I enjoyed getting clicked. They gave me a sneak peek of the pictures, and I was really pleased to see how lovely I looked!”
