Roshni Ajani – Taj Lands End, Mumbai

WeddingSutra held its most popular bridal initiative, WeddingSutra On Location at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai, to showcase the best in bridal style from Kalki this wedding season. Photographer Deb Purbiya was on hand, taking snapshots for posterity as the brides-to-be were treated to a personal style consultation and then an incredible makeover by make-up artist Bel Jane Fonseca. Vintage glamor courtesy stunning heirloom jewellery by Azva and these gorgeous ladies were ready to rock.

In the final of this three-part series, bride-to-be Roshni Ajani tells us about her experience with WeddingSutra On Location at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

“I had always fantasized about having a pre-wedding photo shoot! When I came across WeddingSutra’s bridal shoots, I applied immediately and was just thrilled to be selected!

The day started with the three of us being escorted into the luxurious suite at the Taj Lands End by Team WeddingSutra. The warmth of the team and the plush interiors of the suite put us at ease and we were eager for the shoot to begin!

First we had a style consultation and I selected lehenga. I gravitate towards brighter colors and so when I saw a gorgeous burnt orange and red lehenga by Kalki, my mind was made up. The gold embroidery on it just added to the princess feels. And that net dupatta created an aura of demure beauty!

With jewellery, I wanted something light and easy to wear. The Azva necklace had intricate gold work and it was exactly what I wanted. It was paired with statement earrings that looked elegant and complemented my bridal attire perfectly.

Makeup artist Bel Jane designed a natural bridal for me. She accentuated my eyes with lots of kohl and mascara making them brighter and more defined. I also loved the way she styled my hair in loose waves which suited my face really well.

It was a real treat being photographed by photographer Dev Purbiya. He has a great sense of humor that really lightened up the atmosphere. He chatted with us and also gave us some amazing tips which I am sure will help me on my D-day!

I have so many fond memories of the shoot; I even made friends with some of the other brides there. In all, I really want to thank the team for showering us with so much love and making it such a beautiful experience for all of us.”

Roshni’s Look
Bel Jane dreamed up a dewy look to bring out Roshni’s natural features. She began by creating a flawless base using the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation then applied the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact just around her T-zone so her makeup would last longer. A subtle hint of gold shimmer to the eyelids was added using the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Gold. Roshni’s beautiful almond shaped eyes were accentuated with the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal in black and heavy coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara brought beautiful drama. Keeping the look subtle, Bel Jane skipped the blush and chose a delicate brush of the Lakme Absolute Bronzer in Sun kissed to contour Roshni’s chiseled cheekbones and she added a touch of shimmer with the Lakme Absolute Moon Light highlighter on the cheekbones and nose. The cherry on the cake was Plum – a muted, saturated lip in Plum Smell by Lakmé Absolute Sculpt Studio High Definition Matte Lipstick that presented the perfect pout!
