Sakshi, Azva, Taj Santacruz, Mumbai
Sakshi's elegant choices transformed her into a stunning bride-to-be thanks to some of WeddingSutra Favorites.
WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative WeddingSutra On Location was held at the beautifully designed Azva Store at Taj Santacruz. In the first of this three-part series, Sakshi Tikiya explores styles that best express who she is and gets treated to a gorgeous bridal makeover.
Sakshi looked in her element wearing a pastel pink Aneesh Agarwaal lehenga from Aza Fashions. She paired it with exquisite ornaments from Azva which elevated her entire bridal look. Makeup artist Kumar Iyer gave her visage a dewy and radiant glow with Lakmé Absolute products, while hair stylist Laksh Singh tucked her beautiful locks into an elegant side bun. The makeover was skillfully captured by WeddingSutra Favorite The Photo Lab which is something that Sakshi is bound to look at again and again to savor the moments of this unique experience.
The day began with Sakshi picking an outfit that resonated with her personality and tastes. After browsing through the options from the bridal range available at Aza Fashions, she picked a pastel-pink lehenga by Aneesh Agarwaal, from the multi-designer store, that was resplendent with floral motifs and pretty accents.
At the store, Azva’s pieces that are inspired by the seven vows of marriages intrigued her. A seven-tiered gold necklace set that featured exquisite kundan work caught her eye. She tried it on with her outfit to see if it matched, and discovered that it complemented her lehenga perfectly. “The jewellery was absolutely stunning!” she exclaimed, before sifting through other jewellery options to pick a cocktail ring and bracelets to go with her attire.”
No bridal look is complete without makeup, and when it is a bride’s big day, only the best will do. Makeup expert Kumar Iyer worked his expertise to give her a refreshed, slightly different look from the one she is used to. Sakshi shares, “The makeup look was not my usual style, but it was so fresh! I’m not too experimental when it comes to makeup, so this was quite a welcome change.”
Sakshi also talks about how The Photo Lab team ensured that she was at ease when facing the camera. She shared, “Being a camera-shy person, it’s very important that the photographers make me feel comfortable. It was a treat to work with The Photo Lab. The team was extremely friendly, and I’m sure my ease and enjoyment will show in the pictures.”
Before signing off, she elaborates on how she felt about being a part of WeddingSutra on Location by saying, “WeddingSutra on Location is just what a bride needs before her big day, and I’m glad I was a part of it. The entire process of dressing up for photos was a lot of fun, and the best part of the shoot was how comfortable the WeddingSutra team made us feel. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I loved my day of pampering!”
Sakshi Tikiya’s Look
Working in favor of the soft colors of Sakshi’s ensemble Kumar Iyer created a look that was understated yet charming. Using the Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation in Honey Dew, he prepped her skin. With the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact, he created an even base and moved to work on her eyes. Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette – Gold helped him accentuate her eyes and the Lakmé Absolute Shine Line in black let him create wings on her eyelids for a touch of drama. He added a light flush on her cheek using the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Rose Blush and completed the look by applying Lakmé Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick in maroon magic.
