WeddingSutra held its most popular bridal initiative, WeddingSutra On Location at the Vivanta by Taj President to showcase the best in bridal style statements for this wedding season. Captured by Ace Photographer Ronny Sequeira, here’s a photo feature showcasing the style consultation and makeover of the participating brides-to-be in the company of Team WeddingSutra and make-up maestro Ojas Rajani for Lakme Absolute. This time, we tried something unique with bridal ensembles handpicked from Flyrobe – India’s largest fashion rental platform offering premier fashion rental service allowing brides to experience creating fabulous looks without spending a bomb. In the second of this three-part series, bride-to-be Sharvari Pandya tells us about her experience with WeddingSutra On Location at the Vivanta by Taj President, Mumbai.

“I’ve always wanted a fairy tale wedding with a grand photoshoot and was really excited about being selected for WeddingSutra’s On Location feature.

Team WeddingSutra welcomed us so warmly to the shoot and set the tone for the day, where they made sure we felt comfortable right through.

We started with lehenga trials with Flyrobe. I tried on my first lehenga ever – a beautiful yellow Aneesh Agarwaal creation, with gold embroidery and intricate embellishments, offset by a mint-green dupatta. It made me look so elegant. It was love at first sight! As a modern day bride, I was really interested in knowing more about the fuss-free options such as Flyrobe, for brides like me, who want to look their best without worrying much about the after- care of such heavy ensembles!

The jewellery chosen for me was from Azva and was sophisticated and classy. I fell in love with the maang tikka and gorgeous choker which complemented my attire and held the entire look together.

Then it was time for makeup and I was so excited to have Ojas Rajani work his magic on me. He totally transformed my face and coaxed me to wear hazel-colored lenses. He tried on a beautiful peach lipstick which went perfectly with my vibrant lehenga and left my hair in soft curls, accentuating my jawline. When I looked at myself in the mirror I felt more beautiful than I have ever done. It was a dream makeover.

Now totally ready, I was thrilled to pose for photographer Ronny Sequeira who took some shots at the spiral staircase of the hotel. He was very friendly and gave me helpful tips on various poses that suited my face and body structure. Despite having shot through the day, none of us ever felt stressed out or depleted of energy. The entire experience left me feeling so good about myself!

I really cannot thank the whole team enough for letting me be a part of this wonderful experience. I felt like a ‘celebrity bride-to-be’ to have had the chance to participate in this exclusive shoot. Only a few brides get this opportunity and I’m so glad I was one of them!”

Sharvari’s Look
Sharvari’s make up was semi-matte and natural to balance out her bright yellow lehenga. Ojas started with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation on Sharvari’s flawless skin. The base was set with a gentle brush of the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact around her T-zone which she complained of being oily. Ojas then applied the most gorgeous shade of bronze from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in gold to give her a beautiful smoky eye. To accentuate her doe-shaped eyes, he lined them with the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal in black and applied the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara for extra dimension to her eyes. The next step involved warming up her cheekbones with the Lakme Absolute Bronzer in Sunkissed to give her a soft-contoured look. Ojas finished with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Lip Shimmer in Rose Gold Dust to complete the bridal look to perfection.
