Shubhi Grover – Gaurav Gupta

As part of our initiative, WeddingSutra On Location, we invited three brides-to-be for a unique experience at Gaurav Gupta’s flagship store in the heritage precinct of Kala Ghoda, South Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and culminating in a professional Photo Shoot, each bride-to-be got an opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.

Here, in the first of the three-part series, PR & Communications Professional, and bride-to-be Shubhi Grover writes about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at Gaurav Gupta.

“Gaurav Gupta’s studio was just like a page out of a fairytale. As I entered the studio, every outfit looked like a masterpiece, a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary design. The look and feel of the interiors of the store was dreamy, beautiful.

Team WeddingSutra greeted me warmly and took me around the store to pick an outfit from those on display. Everything looked gorgeous; however there was this one work of art that was my dream outfit. I completely fell in love with this exquisite gown with gold intricate work. It was an elegant red, edgy and sophisticated at the same time. It’s like it was created for the independent modern bride, confident yet acknowledging her traditional roots. After wearing the 7 to 8 kg heavy outfit, I felt like a princess in a fairy tale. It definitely was a showstopper and had my personality down pat – Bold & Beautiful.

Then it was time to meet the makeup & hair expert – Recinda Martis. I was delighted to see Recinda at the shoot and excited to get my makeup done since I have always been a fan of her work. She enhanced each and every feature of my face and gave me a glamorous look. It was in tune with my showstopper outfit and I looked super gorgeous thanks to her!

To finish the entire look, the hairstylist gave me soft curls which perched perfectly on my shoulders.

Right after the makeup & hair, it was time for some final dazzle. Team WeddingSutra helped me complete my bridal look with a stunning gold choker and earrings from Azva.

Finally, we got to my favorite part – PICTURES! The photo shoot with Dev was a fun experience. Apart from a great sense of photography, he also made sure I laughed throughout the shoot. He is just fabulous.

Makeup artist Recinda Martis decided to accentuate Shubhi’s features with a divalicious look for a reception. She created the base with the textured gel, Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Foundation in Golden Medium and set it with the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact in Golden Medium. For the eyes, using the Lakmé Absolute Color Illusion Eyeshadow in Peach Pearl as base, she used the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate to create smoky definition. The Lakmé Absolute Moonlit Highlighter contoured those cheekbones, finished with a soft hint of the Rose Blush from the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos. Recinda used the Lakmé Absolute Gloss Addict in Red Delight shade on Shubhi’s lips. Finally, Shubhi’s hair was styled with tongs in soft loose waves.
