Vrushali Banda, The Westin Mumbai Garden City
Join Vrushali on her journey as she transforms into a gorgeous bride with some WeddingSutra Favorites.
The Westin Mumbai Garden City made for an idyllic location for WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative WeddingSutra On Location. In the third of this three-part series, bride-to-be Vrushali Banda imagines herself walking down the aisle and draws inspiration from her sentiments to create a look that is truly heartfelt.
A jewel toned lehenga by SVA By Sonam & Paras Modi was what Vrushali picked to help her stand out from the crowd. She then her gaze to Azva’s stunning jewellery and was enraptured by their unique design and the finesse. Her Lakmé Absolute makeup by makeup artist Minee Khanna enhanced her look and Disha Pamnani’s hair styling was the perfect finish.
Knotty Affair by Namit and Vipul captured the highlights of the day and her experience in candid frames that will help her relive the day whenever she wants.
Saturated tones are inherently regal and once Vrushali laid her eyes on the deep green lehenga by SVA By Sonam & Paras Modi she knew her search for her dream ensemble was over. Complex golden embroidery rendered in patterns with touches of orange on the blouse and the skirt featured motifs of birds and added character to the attire. Adupatta with a pretty border completed the ensemble. “The lehenga I wore was perfect for a wedding day. I absolutely loved the color. The outfit looked so elegant and I felt extremely confident wearing it!” says Vrushali.
Next, it was time to pick out the ornaments fit for a royal bride. The Azva necklace Vrushali chose featured seven rows of gold beads strung from paisley motifs at either end of the modern bridal haar that converged in a kundan adorned center of dainty leaves. “Jewellery doesn’t excite me as much, however, when I saw Azva’s collection, I wanted to try all the necklaces!” She said enthusiastically, “While the necklace I wore was absolutely stunning, my favorite was definitely the mang tikka.” The mang tikka was also inspired by the seven vows of marriage and trimmed with the same number of pearls. A pair of long earrings, a statement ring, and bangles, all crated in 22-karat gold was all that was needed to complete her adornment.
Now it was time for makeup artist Minee Khanna to work her magic. She envisioned Vrushali as a modern bride and gave her a look that matched her imagination perfectly. She focused on enhancing her natural complexion and highlighting her eyes. “The makeup was truly amazing and I loved the look that she gave me. It went perfectly with my lehenga,” said Vrushali. Hairstylist Disha Pamnani gave her soft waves and the final result was breathtaking!
An excited Vrushali spoke to us about her day, “My experience with WeddingSutra was fabulous, the team is friendly and helpful and they don’t miss one chance to pamper you. Knotty Affair by Namit and Vipul was an extremely friendly team to work with too. They made sure that I was comfortable at all times. Overall it was a wonderful experience!”
Vrushali Banda’s Look
Since makeup artist Minee Khanna wanted to highlight Vrushali’s complexion, she started by using the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation in Ivory Glow. Next, she used the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact to set the foundation in and create a clean surface for the products to follow. The Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in French Rose helped her accentuate her eyes and the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara brought in some drama to the look. Using the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Peach Blush she added a healthy flush to her cheeks and finished the look with the help of Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color in Pink Tint.
