Yesha, Kalyan Jewellers, Vashi
Witness Yesha’s flawless Sikhni bridal makeover with the WeddingSutra Favorites team.
WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative, ‘WeddingSutra On Location’, was held at the Vashi, Navi Mumbai store of Kalyan Jewellers, a jewelry brand that is popular with millennial brides. In the second of this three-part series, bride-to-be Yesha was treated to a gorgeous bridal makeover that involved designer attire, stand out jewelry, and distinctive makeup.
Yesha’s experience began with the most precious – she chose some beautiful baubles from Kalyan Jewellers‘ Anokhi collection. Then, Shikha Dhandhia, Yesha’s stylist for the day, found the perfect Dolly J ensemble to go with the jewelry. The composite effect of the clothes and adornment created a stunning Sikhni bridal aesthetic. Makeup artist Sejal Sachnakul of Makeovers by Sejal then amped the impact up by highlighting the bride’s features with products from the Lakmé Absolute collection. Hair Stylist Bhagyashree Tanwar ensured the bride flaunted the perfect hair-do. Result? Yesha looked stunning and Reflexion by Nishchay Shinde was at hand to capture proof for posterity.
Yesha chose jewelry that was an amalgam of traditional design with modern accents. An uncut diamond choker with floral motifs was worn with a multi-layer, uncut diamond haar. Her Sikh bridal look was further enhanced with a unique cocktail ring, bangles and danglers from the same collection. With a maangtikka and nath from Kalyan Jewellers’ Kundan Collection, she was exquisitely bedecked from head to toe.
Stylist Shikha Dhandia picked an alluring kalidar lehenga in neon orange by Dolly J. A gorgeous, youthful, bold choice, its elegance was wrought via the pleated flare of the lehengas. The jewelry Yesha wore was offset by the intricate silver embroidery on each ‘kali’ of the lehenga which gave the ensemble a regal appeal. The bride’s dupatta was gracefully draped over her shoulders and head to stunning effect.
Artist Sejal Sachnakul gave Yesha a youthful glow but kept it matte. The colors used were subtle but effective and took into account the reflected glow of her beautiful lehenga. With sharply defined eyes, the bride’s visage was complete. Bhagyashree Tanwar styled her hair in a messy braid accentuated with little buds of baby’s breath. Yesha couldn’t believe the mirror, “I was really surprised to see how beautifully the team had highlighted my features. The makeup and hair were perfectly in sync with my outfit and the entire look can only be described as truly fabulous!”
Summarising the entire experience Yesha said, “I was really thrilled to be a part of this! The Sikhni bridal makeover lived up to my expectations and this was a unique experience, a comprehensive package of fun, knowledge and interactive learning. Team WeddingSutra left no stone unturned in making sure everything went perfectly.”
As for being shot by Nishchay Shinde, Yesha said, “Nishchay is indeed the photographer I would have hired. He ensured the entire shoot was smooth and effortless and helped me pose without any awkwardness. Although I felt a little shy initially, his friendly disposition and experience helped me cut loose and feel absolutely comfortable as the shoot proceeded.”
Makeup artist Sejal Sachnakul began working on bride Yesha’s visage by prepping it with Lakmé Absolute Blur Perfect Makeup Primer. She created a smooth base using the Lakmé Absolute Skin Natural Mousse in Ivory Fair. Using the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact, Sejal set the mousse with a smooth matte finish. The Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow in French Rose accentuated the bride’s eyelids which were lined using the Lakmé Absolute Forever Silk Eyeliner. The Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara added volume to the bride’s lashes. Sejal brushed on a healthy flush to the bride’s cheeks with the Lakmé Absolute Face Styling Blush Duos in Peach and used the Lakmé Absolute Matte Revolution in Vintage Rust to tint the bride’s lips with a light, weightless finish.
