However, when it came to their big day and the important functions that would precede it, the duo decided to rope in seasoned professionals who would understand their vision with complete clarity. With planner ANS Weddings India taking charge at the helm and ensuring not a detail was amiss, the nuptials went ahead without a hiccup. Furthermore, there was WeddingSutra Favorite – Ojas Rajani making sure the bride looked stunning from each angle by highlighting her natural beauty. Adding to the team was photographer Yadi Studios who made every click count.
Following a Parisian theme, the bridal shower that was organized by Akshita’s sister, was an extravagant function. Akshita was surrounded by her girlfriends who indulged her and celebrated her precious moments of singlehood. Looking like a fairytale princess in her ivory gown and diamond tiara, the bride glowed as she posed with her to-be hubby who was dressed in a classic white shirt and blue jeans, as they enjoyed delicious treats.
An informal occasion where everyone set the dance floor on fire as they indulged their taste buds, the Youngster’s Night was full of fun-filled moments. With India’s leading pop band ‘Best Kept Secret’ belting out lilting tunes, the soon-to-be-wed duo performed an elegant waltz. Dressed in a sequined sheer black lace saree, Akshita looked glamorous while Taher stepped up the style stakes in his sleek black suit.
Hosted under the setting sun, the haldi ceremony was also accompanied by a sundown soiree where the guests were entertained by DJ Bhavin’s thrilling tunes. The decor, however, was the highlight of the evening with a wall adorned by sparkling gold metallic sequins, vibrant marigolds, and a canopy of fairy lights. For her outfit, the bride decided to keep it breezy and comfy in a light yellow lehenga set from Private Collections by Zeenat which she paired with delicate floral jewelry while Taher chose an asymmetrical off-white kurta set.
For their wedding, the duo chose to express their love for each other with a loving vow exchange ceremony and sung songs where they promised each other a lifetime of love and happiness. Taking place under an elegantly crafted pavilion that was adorned with pastel-hued flowers, candles and supported with transparent pillars, the ceremony was an emotional one. After heartfelt speeches delivered by the best man and the maid of honor, the guests promptly enjoyed and shook a leg to live jazz music performed by Thomson Andrews and his band.
For her outfit, Akshita wore her mother’s deep-red and gold wedding lehenga. Taher, however, chose to channel his inner royal with a maroon velvet sherwani which he paired with a pearl and emerald necklace.
