Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain, Mumbai
Actress Ankita Lokhande tied the knot with businessman beau Vicky Jain in a luxurious traditional ceremony!
Actress Ankita Lokhande and Raipur billionaire Vicky Jain were united in marriage on the 14th of December surrounded by splendor. Packed with multiple functions and festivities, this wedding grabbed headlines as Ankita expressed her unfiltered joy for the lenses. The Pavitra Rishta actress has been in a relationship with Vicky for the past three years. The pair first met via common friends and love soon blossomed! However, they made their relationship official via an adorable Instagram post where Vicky was seen going down on one knee to pop the question in a setting surrounded by trees.
The first of the pre-wedding festivity was home-based where in true Maharashtrian style Ankita and Vicky tied a Mundavalya on their foreheads to perform prayers. Surrounded by their closest family members, the bride glowed in a traditional leaf green saree with a pink border while Vicky kept it simple in an off-white kurta set. With green bangles adorning her wrists and a matching choker-jhumka set completing the look, Ankita happily posed for the camera as she proceeded with the rituals.
For her own bridal mehndi, Ankita kept it simple and intimate. Glowing in a red hued indo-western outfit, she grooved with Vicky surrounded by her family and friends.
Next in line was the Mehndi in which the couple painted the town red with their chemistry! Donning co-ordinated white-hued outfits with multicolored embroidery, the couple made a striking pair as they danced to the beats of the dhol. Sheltered by a colorful cutwork canopy and surrounded by bright marigolds, Ankita was a vision as she danced the bhangra exuberantly with her henna patterned palms held aloft. Accompanying her beautiful lehenga was a scallop hemmed blush pink dupatta, a matching set of jhumkas, choker necklace and maang tikka. Vicky on the other hand, slipped on a pair of dark sunglasses with his dhoti-kurta set that not only protected his eyes but also added a dash of swag to his look.
For the Engagement, the couple shed their previous traditional avatars and embraced a western look! While Vicky wore a silver blazer with a ruched black t-shirt, Ankita looked ravishing in a sequined black gown with a cape and shoulder cut-outs. Going down on one knee, Vicky professed his love to Ankita once again even as their loved ones cheered on! Keeping accessories to a minimum with a pair of statement earrings and a ring, Ankita opted for a clean-cut look with her hair parted in the middle that gently brushed her shoulders.
A star-studded event with Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, actor Eijaz Khan, actress Amruta Khanvilkar, Mahi Vij, Shraddha Arya, Sana Makbul, Pavitra Punia and producer Ekta Kapoor in attendance, the Sangeet had everyone grooving to popular Bollywood tracks all night long. Dressed in a silver-hued shimmering lehenga Ankita was high on glamor by pairing her outfit with a layered diamond necklace and earrings. Contrasting his bride, Vicky opted for a velvet embroidered tuxedo. A very sporting Ankita finally set the stage on fire, despite her leg injury, with an impressive performance!
The Haldi ceremony was a close-knit one, and Ankita chose a beautiful red sharara set. With gold gota patti work on the hem and gota across the entire kurta as well, Ankita exuded traditional glamour. Adorned with gajra, her hair was swept back in a bun so that her loved ones could easily slather her with haldi. Vicky looked dapper albeit in a simple off-white kurta set. The couple entered the venue hand in hand through an entryway decorated with balloons and later had a gala time grooving on the dancefloor.
For the big day, no stone was left unturned as Vicky arrived seated in a vintage car at his baraat. The bride and groom took their vows under a mandap tastefully decorated with white and red flowers. Heralded by classical dancers, Ankita’s bridal entry was picture perfect as she held a sheer gold partially embroidered dupatta over her head that strategically gave everyone a soft glimpse of her face. Dressed in a lavish gold lehenga with heavy sequin embroidery paired with equally heavy kundan jewellery, Ankita glowed with happiness during the pheras. Complementing his bride, Vicky wore a white sherwani with delicate gold embroidery along with a safa. Attended by several of Ankita’s telly industry friends like actresses Srishty Rode and Aparna Dixit, this occasion too was filled with lively moments!
Later on, the couple hosted a dazzling reception where Ankita wore a heavy red saree which she paired with green bangles, a gold necklace and matching earrings. With Ankita’s hand firmly in his, Vicky looked dashing in a sleek black sherwani. The couple entered to Ed Sheeran’s hit song ‘Perfect’ playing in the background while their loved ones cheered on. Several celebrities from the television industry were in attendance like Anita Hassanandani, Mrunal Thakur, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Arti Singh and Karanvir Bohra along with wife Teejay Sidhu.
