Malala and Asser first crossed paths in 2018 while Asser was visiting friends at Oxford during the summer. The duo struck up a quick friendship over their love for cricket and the common values they shared. For their wedding, the duo opted for a simple Islamic nikkah ceremony at the bride’s serene home in Birmingham where she resides with her father, mother and younger brothers. Painted in soft hues, dotted with ethnic motifs and offering sweeping views of the surrounding greenery, this beautiful home was the perfect place for Malala and Asser to embark on a new beginning surrounded by their families and closest friends. Keeping it simple yet dreamy, the wedding decor included white and blush pink flowers that were perfectly in tandem with Malala’s outfit.

Radiant and happy, Malala looked stunning in a traditional salwar suit which that her mother and friend sourced from Lahore. Her bridal attire was an apt reflection of her minimalistic style with gold embellishments highlighting the neckline of her kurta and the borders of her dupatta. Rosy pink in hue, the outfit ensured she stood out as she took her vows against a white floral backdrop. On the jewelry front, the happy bride kept it simple as Asser’s mother and sister gave her a dainty gold maang tikka, gold chaandbalis, and bangles. Letting her shoulder-length hair remain open, Malala clearly put comfort first as she chose a fuss-free makeup look with a nude, glossy pout and peachy cheeks. Additionally, she also took on the responsibility of applying a simple henna design on her palms by herself! Asser, on the other hand, looked dapper in an expertly cut suit which he paired with a blush pink tie that complemented his bride’s outfit.

After the nikkah ceremony, the couple decided to have a post-wedding shoot where they made full use of the colorful autumn landscape by capturing a variety of candid as well as romantic shots.
