The stars came out at night for this real royal wedding straight out of a fairytale!
The Nawab of Kurnool, Adnan Ul Mulk, scion of the business powerhouse Mulk Holdings tied the knot with the lovely Nida Farooqui in a grand ceremony at the sprawling, sea-facing Taj Lands End hotel in Mumbai, planned and executed by WeddingSutra Favorites, Cineyug Celebrations, Vivaah and EventChic Designs.
The three-day celebration was simply magnificent with the who’s who of business, politics and royalty in attendance. Held across three different venues at the Taj Lands End, over 200 rooms were occupied by the family.
A wedding of this scale and grandeur necessitated imagination, meticulous planning and perfect execution. WeddingSutra Favorites, Vivaah, Cineyug Celebrations and EventChic Designs created a roster of memorable experiences for all who attended.
The celebrations began with a Sufi Night and a Moghul Night as a nod to the Nawab’s princely lineage in Kurnool. The soulful Sufiyana evening was hosted by the Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk himself who welcomed his guests with deep warmth and emotion. Beautifully decorated in white and gold, the venue featured décor highlights that included intricate zardosi work, niches satin tassels, heavy drapes and Moroccan lamp accents. In this atmosphere suffused with luxury and mystery, the dervishes swirled in rhythm leaving guests mesmerized. This was followed by Suryaveer Hooja who sustained the mood of the evening while Sumit Sethi and the dholwaalas interacted with the audiences.

A themed Haldi was celebrated by the family and then it was time for the traditional Nikah and the Valima. An elegantly decorated stage with carved golden pillars with rich fabric drapes and exotic flowers was built. Grand lightning, floral decorations, red carpet all added to the grandeur. The chef’s retinue brought special flavor to the wedding with a smorgasbord of special culinary delights featuring Nawabi cuisine from the Hyderabad repertoire. In a series of celebrations that delighted and charmed the guests, the gustation managed to be one of the highlights of this very royal wedding.
