It was 'Love all' for badminton stars Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap who wed in an intimate ceremony in Hyderabad recently.
The year of weddings that 2018 has been also saw ace badminton players Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap tie the knot in Hyderabad. The couple got married in a simple ceremony at Saina’s residence that was attended by a small gathering of about 40 guests, including relatives from Saina and Parupalli’s families.
Saina and Parupalli, both students at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Training Academy, have been co-players and friends for a long time. After announcing their wedding in October this year, the couple posted a picture from their big day with the caption ‘Best match of my life’ on Twitter, which took the Internet by storm.
Nehwal and Kashyap were seen playing the last friendly matchy on the lawns of Novotel Hotel, Hyderabad before they took on their #BestMatch scoring #LoveAll!
For the intimate wedding ceremony, Saina picked a violet and cream lehenga by Hyderabad-based designer Vaishali Agarwal while Parupalli donned a pink bandhgala jacket and kurta.
A reception for guests at the Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad followed the wedding. This was a rather grand affair with several famous personalities from the world of sports, politics, entertainment, and business attending the function. South superstar Nagarjuna and actress Rakul Preet were among the few prominent actors seen at this grand party. Saina looked resplendent wearing an indigo velvet Sabyasachi Mukherjee lehenga at the reception and was dolled up by WeddingSutra Favourite – Tamanna Rooz, while Parupalli picked a quilted indigo sherwani from the same designer and layered it with a beautiful tussar georgette shawl.
