Youtube stars, Shanice and Nikhil made a splash online as they wed in stunning ceremonies that celebrated both their cultures.
Shanice Shrestha, a fashion and lifestyle vlogger on Youtube, and Nikhil Sharma, one of India’s most popular Youtube stars and creator of the channel Mumbiker Nikhil, got hitched in dual ceremonies that left their fans awestruck. The power couple, both of whom have enormous followers online, hosted a destination wedding in Goa where they melted hearts with their Catholic and Hindu wedding ceremonies. And to add to their fans’ excitement, the bride and groom also shared a marriage vlog from both their perspectives which gave their fans an exclusive look at what went on behind the scenes! Since a destination wedding in Goa was on the cards, the couple roped in seasoned vendors who would breathe life into their vision. Shanice shares, “When we reminisce about our wedding, both of us always wish that we could go back to relive those two most beautiful days of our lives. Everything was perfect beyond our expectations. We enjoyed our hearts out at the intimate wedding with our closest loved ones in attendance.”
On the photography front, they chose DotDusk Studios who clicked a number of candid shots that expressed the unfiltered joy that the bride and groom felt as they tied the knot. From solemn moments of prayer at the Catholic wedding ceremony to the playful moments at the haldi, each shot mesmerized the eyes with its beauty. Gushing about the photography team, she goes on to share, “They have outdone our expectations with their skillful photography and videography. We chose them because they resonated with our photography style and I’m so glad that we did. The pictures and videos have turned out to be awesome! Our big day and its special moments have been captured perfectly forever. We’ll also be releasing our wedding movie soon, so stay tuned!”
Praising the rest of the team, Shanice shares, “A huge shout out to Bun Maska Communications for managing our wedding, it wouldn’t be possible without them. Also for my makeup, Ritika Turakhia did a fabulous job! I was so happy with my wedding outfits, especially the lehenga designed by Bindani by Jigar & Nikita. All the other outfits were shopped from different places in Mumbai and my wedding gown was stitched by a family tailor.”
Adding to the team were wedding managers Bun Maska Communications and Mint Streets along with hairstylist Akshya Sarkate and makeup artist Ritika Turakhia.
Weddings Functions
Haldi
Basking under the Goan sunshine, the duo’s haldi ceremony was a boisterous affair where everyone slathered the soon-to-be-weds with a mixture of turmeric and milk. Bedecked with a floral arch that also flaunted the couple’s monogram, the event boasted vibrant marigolds in orange and yellow hues. Complementing each other, Shanice wore a yellow kurta set while Nikhil donned a pale yellow sherwani.
Mehndi
With a colorful carnival-like theme, the Mehndi was hosted under the open sky and dotted with bright yellow gazebos where the ladies got henna patterned on their palms. Furthermore, a vivid dance floor in the center ensured that everyone had ample space to shake a leg after the Mehndi was applied. Dressed in a dark beige outfit with silver embroidery, Shanice was all smiles as she posed for the lenses while Nikhil looked dapper in an Indo-Western style brown sherwani.
Catholic Wedding
Elegant and simple, Shanice and Nikhil’s Catholic wedding ceremony was a traditional one with minimal decor. From the adorable first look moment between the duo to the cheerful ritual of the bride tossing the bouquet, this ceremony was an emotionally charged one where the bride and groom declared their love for one another. Looking stunning in a lacy white gown, Shanice looked picture-perfect while Nikhil contrasted her in a black suit. After the wedding, the couple celebrated their love by releasing lanterns by the beach into the dark night sky.
Hindu Wedding
Colorful and glitzy, the Hindu wedding ceremony witnessed the groom making a stylish entry on a motorbike as his pals cheered him on. Encircled by Goa’s lush greenery, the wedding decor consisted of varying hues of pink and gold-hued chairs on which the guests comfily sat as they gleefully watched the couple tie the knot. Additionally, the bride and groom’s vlogging cameras also made an appearance on the mandap as they both shot behind the scene snippets for their fans which later also trended on YouTube. Donning a traditional red and gold embroidered lehenga, Shanice exuded regal vibes while Nikhil sported a pale pink sherwani accessorized with an emerald necklace.
