Sumeet Vyas and Ekta Kaul, Jammu
While we are all waiting for Mikesh and Tina’s onscreen wedding, offscreen, actor Sumeet Vyas and his now wife, Ekta Kaul Vyas left us all awed with the Band Baaja Baaraat in Jammu!
Mikesh tied the knot! Isn’t this how most of us reacted looking at the adorable couple all over our Insta feeds? Many speculated the relationship between actor and writer, Sumeet Vyas and the ‘Mere Angane Mein’ actress, Ekta Kaul, but the lovebirds kept mum and surprised us all!
While their Jammu wedding, captured by WeddingSutra Favourite Knotting Bells, was truly picture- perfect, their unique wedding card designed by another WeddingSutra Favourite, Puneet Gupta, deserves a closer look.
Beginning with ‘Holy sh*t! Sh*t just got real!’, the card read, “We are actually getting married. Correction. Actually, we are getting married in a holy ceremony in the holy city of Jammu, and we look forward to your presence!” Now isn’t this a perfect reflection of their personalities?
Moving forward, here’s narrating the story of the two.
Speaking about the proposal, Sumeet shared with Times of India, “Ekta is a beautiful person. I decided to pop the question a few days ago and slipped a ring on her finger before she could change her mind. I am glad she loved it and accepted my proposal. Unfortunately, I got the size of the ring wrong, which can be expected from a guy like me.”
And now, following the cute proposal, the two have completely swept us off our feet with their simple yet elegant Kashmiri wedding!
On 15th September, 2018, the two began a new journey and became ‘Permanent Roommates’ for life! Their wedding revelries started off with a small puja on the 13th which was then followed by the Haldi and Mehndi ceremonies.
From the happy faces of Haldi to the bright and floral Mehndi, everything about the wedding was all smiles and picture perfect. Further, they coordinated in black and gold for the Sangeet and looked absolutely regal in their attire.
As for the big day, we can’t stop gushing about how ethereal both of them looked! While Ekta set some major bridal goals in her maroon lehenga, our offscreen Mikesh looked no less dashing in his cream-colored sherwani. Captured by WeddingSutra Favorite Knotting Bells, the pictures stand proof to the royal decor that made such a dreamy setting.
While we saw dozens of posts flooding our feeds, standing out was the image shared by the actor himself, an awe-inspiring candid moment of the two, laughing together, hand-in-hand. Expressing the moment in words he captioned it as, “Couldn’t have been happier…”
So while the wedding was definitely a unique tale, the invitation had to be a quirky one too!
