Tanya Ganwani and Rajiv Varma, Fairmont Le Montreux Palace
This couple’s wedding celebrations in the jewel of the Swiss Riviera were a visual feast!
Tanya Ganwani, the granddaughter of Lal Ganwani, founder of Dubai-based Lals Group that operates brands such as Homes R Us, Lamcy Plaza, Arabian Center, Carter’s, and Daiso Japan, to name a few, recently tied the knot with beau Rajiv Varma. The groom’s parents Shobha and Moni Verma are London based exporters. The wedding celebrations were planned by Mumbai based Percept Weddings at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace. The duo hosted their roka earlier this year with WeddingSutra Favorite Vivaah Weddings transforming the venues in Atlantis with their beautiful setup. This was followed by an extravagant reception at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai. The wedding was designed by The Wedding Design Company at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace. WeddingSutra Favorite Asian British Music rocked the baraat and sangeet with their dhol performances and ensured all the baraatis looked dapper with their flawless safa draping skills. Celebrities and fashionistas were spotted in creations by Manish Malhotra, Suneet Verma and Sherina Dalamal (Cherie D).
Engagement
While the poolside was decorated with marquee lights that read #TanysRaj and fresh petals by WeddingSutra Favorite Vivaah Weddings, the rest of the area was decked in floral stings, beautiful floral arrangements, and even a concept bar.
Pre Wedding Party
Their reception that took place a few months later was a lavish affair held at the majestic Atlantis, The Palm. The ballroom, situated on a man-made island, was bedecked with red roses and illuminated with striking chandeliers. For this function, the bride and groom opted for creations by Pakistani designer Faraz Manan. While Tanya went with a beige lehenga that was paired with a full sleeved blouse and featured intricate work, Rajiv chose a navy blue jacket and well-fitted pants.
Mehndi
The Swiss Alps have forever played muse to some of Bollywood’s most popular romantic dance number. With Snow-capped peaks behind you, palm trees in front, it comes as no surprise that Tanya chose to host her nuptials at Hotel Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, Switzerland. The celebrations began with a daytime mehndi. While vibrant flowers were used to bring the entire venue to life, the snow-capped mountains posed as the perfect backdrop to the setup. The bride dressed up in yellow lehenga by Faraz Manan while the groom opted for a white outfit by the same designer.
Sangeet
The duo hosted one of the most happening sangeet parties. With Sukhbir Singh singing and dhol performances by TEAMDIPS performing, this night was filled with music and dance.
Wedding
For the wedding, the outdoor space at the Hotel Fairmont Le Montreux Palace was decorated in shades of pink and white. While a large mandap decorated using pink drapes and fresh flowers stood overlooking the Swiss mountains, two large elephants created using pink blooms made for the key decor elements. Flowers in ornate vases dotted the venue furthering the charm of the setup. Tanya was a traditional bride in red for the ceremony while Rajiv looked handsome in a white achkan which was paired with a jade green saafa.
Reception
For the reception, several crystal chandeliers lit up the ballroom in an ethereal glow. The decor was complete with gorgeous floral arrangements, exquisite drapes and a large stage with an LED backdrop that displayed the couple’s monogram.
Tanya, once again, chose a stunning lehenga by Faraz Manan. With detailed work on the skirt and heavily embellished lehenga this outfit was truly perfect for this momentous occasion.
