Actor Kalidas Jayaram and Tarini Kalingarayar’s close-knit wedding celebrations showcased their love for tradition and glamour.
Son of renowned film star Jayaram, Kalidas and Tarini Kalingarayar, a model and former Miss Tamil Nadu 2019 tied the knot in a series of stunning celebrations. Showcasing their affinity for their traditions while keeping the glamour levels high, the couple entrusted WeddingSutra Favorite – Spize Weddings to plan their union. Tarini and Kalidas got engaged in the year 2023 and Tarini is a renowned model who was crowned Miss Tamil Nadu 2019 and secured the third runner-up position at Miss Universe India 2021.
Wedding Venue
The couple got hitched at the Guruvayur Temple which holds a special place in the Jayaram family as it is the same place where Jayaram married his wife Parvathy (a Former actress) 32 years ago. Kalidas’s sister Malavika Jayaram also followed her father’s footsteps and tied the knot at the same temple. Hence, it was only natural that Kalidas took the same route!

Mehndi
For the mehndi, the couple chose a warm and subtle color palette that included, soft yellow, light brown, light ochre and ivory hues. Green foliage, whimsical larger-than-life organza blooms and white lilies accentuated these warm hues. In sync with new-age trends, the bride chose a minimalistic mehndi design featuring an adorable elephant in the middle.
Sangeet
With a family that excels at performing onstage, it is safe to say that the sangeet was energetic. The couple’s parents took to the stage to give an epic performance that resulted in some emotional moments. Ambient lights, a vast LED screen-backed stage, and suspended lanterns gave the venue a magical look.
Wedding
Co-ordinating in red and orange traditional outfits, the couple looked stunning at their temple wedding. The bride donned an orange saree with a red-and-gold border which she accessorised with heavy gold jewellery. White jasmine blooms adorned her braid adding elegance to the look.
Reception
The reception was a star-studded affair attended by director Mani Ratnam, actress and dancer Shobana Chandrakumar and Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff in attendance. Keeping the decor elegant, the venue was adorned with purple and blue blooms, pearls, crystal chandeliers and latticework backdrops.
