Zoë Kravitz and Karl Glusman, Paris
Big Little Lies actress Zoë Kravitz married actor Karl Glusman in a grand Parisian wedding.
The celebrity couple, who had a civil wedding in May 2019, hosted a beautiful wedding in Paris which was attended by a host of Hollywood celebrities.
How They Met
In an interview with British Vogue, Zoë Kravitz talked about how she met her soulmate in 2016. She said, “My friend knew that I wanted to meet someone – not something serious, but just to have some fun, to be completely honest with you – and he brought Karl. I instantly felt something – then he turned around and started talking to the blonde girl next to him and I was like, ‘Wait, what?’ But he later told me that he was just nervous.”
The actress also said that she was glad they met through friends in a bar and not on a dating app or a movie set.
The Proposal
In October 2018, Zoë revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone the adorable way in which the couple got engaged. She said, “I was in sweatpants. I could feel his heart beating so fast – I was like, ‘Baby, are you OK?’. I was actually worried about him!”
She added, “And I love that it wasn’t this elaborate plan in Paris. It was at home, in sweatpants. He nailed it.”
Rehearsal Dinner
A day prior to their lavish wedding, the couple hosted a rehearsal dinner at Restaurant Lapérouse in Paris. The soiree was attended by their family and friends from Hollywood, including Zoë’s Big Little Lies co-stars Reese Withespoon, Shaileen Woodley, Nichole Kidman and Laura Dern. For the glitzy event, the stunning bride wore a dress designed by Danielle Frankel. The crochet dress had an intricate weave with hundreds of pearls and was worn on top of boy shorts and a strapless silk bra. The groom wore a blue suit with tan leather shoes.
Wedding
The couple’s wedding was reportedly hosted at Lenny Kravitz’s palatial Townhouse in Paris. The 18th-century mansion, with three storeys and eight bedrooms, is lavish and was once owned by a French minister. The house has a no-shoes policy and houses world-famous art pieces such as the Basquiats and Warhols. Amongst other modification, Lenny has converted the cellar into a speakeasy. While the couple is yet to share official photos, the father of the bride posted a photo giving the public a glimpse of his well-designed mansion.
