Ariana Grande, the chart-topping pop star tied the knot with her luxury home realtor beau Dalton Gomez in an intimate ceremony that took place at her sprawling home in Montecito, California. Safe to say, when the singer shared glimpses of her fairytale-like wedding on social media, jaws dropped and the online world went into a frenzy. And, for good reason too!
How They Met:
The couple first crossed paths when Ariana was scouting outside Los Angeles for a getaway home. And to help her in this task, she was put in touch with Dalton who has previously helped many Hollywood celebrities find the perfect home. At the very first meeting, the duo hit it off and soon enough got into a serious relationship as they even quarantined together.
The Proposal:
The couple took their lockdown love story to the next level as Dalton proposed to Ariana on 20th December 2020. Having spent so much time together during the lockdown, the couple had grown incredibly close. The pop star took to her Instagram handle to announce the big news and to show off her spectacular sparkler which includes a flawless oval, colorless diamond of around 5-6 carats offset at an angle with a gorgeous south sea pearl on a thin platinum ring.
Wedding Venue:
To tie the knot, Ariana and Dalton chose her Montecito home, a luxurious property surrounded by nature and steeped in rich history furnished with elements that date back to the English Tudor period. Built on 1.35 acres of lush land, the property boasts wooden beams, tall windows, and numerous fireplaces.
Wedding:
To begin this new, exciting phase in their lives they chose to execute a close-knit but stunning wedding attended by less than 20 loved ones. Decorated with suspended blooms and pillar candles that lit up the pristine white walls of the home with a golden glow, the wedding was aesthetically pleasing in a minimalistic and luxurious way. As per sources, hundreds of white florals were used in the decor which meshed perfectly well with the singer’s taste for simplicity. The guests’ dinner tables also followed the same theme as they were adorned with white flowers and green foliage interspersed with tall candlesticks.
A style inspiration as always, Ariana looked striking and elegant in a Vera Wang gown that perfectly complemented her surroundings. Donning a customary white empire waist column wedding gown crafted out of silk charmeuse with a plunging back, she looked ravishing as she was accompanied down the aisle by her father Ed Butera. On the accessories front, she opted for dainty pearl and diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz, towering heels by Giuseppe Zanotti and a shoulder-length pleated tulle bubble veil topped a satin bow which reminded many of Audrey Hepburn’s look in the movie Funny Face.
Her hair was done up in a ‘half-up’ style that ended with soft curls that fell down her back by Josh Liu. And, following the motto ‘less is more’ her makeup look was natural but not without her signature winged eyeliner which was softened out for the occasion by Ash K Holm. Dalton, on the other hand, kept it classic in a dapper black Tom Ford suit with matching leather loafers.
