It was love all for tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and NBA star David Lee at their tasteful wedding in Tuscany, Italy, where they competed in fun sporting activities and hosted celebrity friends.
Caroline Wozniacki had already found her place on the list of the world’s top-ranking tennis players. However, with her wedding celebrations, she has also earned a spot on the roll of the most charismatic brides ever. On June 15, 2019, she exchanged rings with NBA and All-Star team member David Lee in a breathtaking ceremony at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, and looked nothing less than a dream!
At the welcome dinner and cocktail party, Caroline wore a white gown by Roland Mouret. Her hair, styled in soft waves, fell over her shoulders and clusters of diamonds cascaded down her ears. The night saw a laser show and fireworks which made for a glittering start for their three-day festivities. For this couple and their athletic bridal party, the next day saw a bunch of activities taking place. Everyone, including the bride and the groom, sported tee shirts, shorts, and sweatbands to take on the challenges that awaited them such as obstacle races, tug-of-war and relays.
After a busy morning, everyone gathered for ‘La Dolce Vita’, their market-themed rehearsal dinner. This was an evening inspired by the destination of the wedding and was complete with music by the Italian band The Gypsy Queens along with a spread that included cuisines from Italy’s different regions. Caroline wore a white dress that featured embroidery reminiscent of spring by Temperley London. Her hair was pulled back into a braided updo that was decorated with bright blooms that matched her outfit, and a few curled locks were left loose to frame her face.
For the white wedding, Caroline wore an Oscar de la Renta fern and floral lace embroidered gown which was paired with a tulle veil. Delicate diamond earrings from Ruchi New York, as well as a bracelet completed her look. The bride and groom took their vows before 120 guests, that included Serena Williams, who was also Caroline’s bridesmaid, and spouse Alexis Ohanian, NBA players Pau Gasol and Harrison Barnes, TV host and former NFL player Jesse Palmer, as well as pro tennis player Angelique Kerber.
After the wedding, the newlyweds made their way to the reception where they shared their first dance to Lukas Graham’s ‘Love Someone’ which he performed live. After the cake cutting and dinner, the bride changed into a sparkling Stella McCartney sequin dress with spaghetti straps – and custom Adidas sneakers to dance the night away!
