Actress Emmy Rossum and Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in New York City. The nuptials took place at the East 55th Street Conservative Synagogue in New York City, where the couple said “I do” under a gorgeous, flower-filled chuppah and later posed beneath the venue’s jaw-dropping vaulted ceiling and stained glass windows. The guest list included Robert Downey Jr., William H. Macy, Rami Malek, Christian Slater and Charly Chaikin and Hilary Swank amongst many others.
Standing at a lavish alter of flowers at Central Synagogue Rossum kept her wedding day style simple and elegant, wearing an embroidered, all-white off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress with a dramatic train. The dress also had a sash of embellished beading around the waist, plus a full train and tons of tiny fabric buttons running down the entire length of the gown in back. For the ceremony, Rossum wore a floor-length lace veil. Her hair was pulled back into an understated updo, which she topped with a long, sheer veil. She accessorized with champagne-colored pumps and a clutch to match. Esmail also went for a traditional look, sporting a clean-cut black suit with a black tie.
