Former Miss Universe First Runner-Up Manpreet Brar tied the knot with security expert Arjun Walia in a morning ceremony at the banquet hall of the Defence Services Officers? Institute (DSOI), New Delhi. She looked resplendant in a Ritu Kumar lehenga choli in peach colour embroidered with subtle gold zardozi and aari work. When Manpreet represented India at the Miss Universe Contest in 1995, her trousseau also had a peach lehenga, which she totally fell in love with. “It was then that I decided that I was going to wear something like this for my wedding. Some contestants were so impressed by this peach lehenga choli with gold and silver thread and a hand-woven dupatta that they offered to buy it,” says Brar.
