Actress Shruti Seth married Break Ke Baad Director Danish Aslam in Goa. The weekend celebrations were a fun, intimate affair and the wedding proceedings were conducted by the couple’s close friend Producer Kunal Kohli. Says Shruti:”My wedding was unique because almost every element of the celebrations and my look were taken care of by my friends. For the sunset wedding by the beach my very dear friends Gauri & Nainika designed a beautifully layered gown. From the time Gauri & Nainika turned designers they promised me that they would make me a fairy tale gown for my wedding. And so, I call them my fairy God mothers.” Shruti’s simple, elegant makeup was done by her makeup artist friend Namrata Soni (now Sonam Kapoor’s makeup artist). Shruti’s accessories and jewellery were simple too, she wore earrings borrowed from her friend Zea who made a headband for her as well. Adds Shruti: “Danish chose to be comfortable at his own wedding since he hates being forced to dress up at other people’s weddings. Since it was hot in Goa he picked relaxed outfits in linen for all the functions.”
