Helen’s Engagement Ring
“Both my engagement and wedding rings are in platinum”, says the young, beautiful and confident Helen Brodie who loves the sober look of Platinum. “Its more wearable and durable than other metals”, she adds.
Helen met John Michael Lind (he’s half Argentinean and half Dutch), just three days after her arrival in Mumbai. They started dating 3 months later and John proposed her two years thereafter. “John put in a lot of time and effort to find the perfect engagement ring”, says Helen, her eyes lighting up when asked to describe the ring, “It’s set in platinum with an emerald cut diamond and two baguette diamonds by the side.”
“My wedding ring had to be a platinum one too”, says Helen. She wanted it to be extremely simply, since she’d be wearing it all the time. “We searched and searched for the perfect ring and finally bought a plain exquisite platinum band from Cartier.” Besides the rings, Helen’s other favourite jewellery piece is her platinum bracelet which she wears for special occasions.
