Hollywood star Megan Fox and her musician beau Machine Gun Kelly announced their engagement after roughly a year and a half of dating. The musician who is known for his eccentric and bold style chose an equally unique ring for Megan that featured two statement gems. He opted for a ring encrusted with a pear cut emerald, which is Megan’s birthstone, and a similarly cut diamond, which is Colson’s birthstone. “They’re interwoven together with double twisting bands that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love,” said Machine Gun Kelly.
Fashioned by renowned jeweler and designer Stephen Webster, the ring is forged out of white gold and sports small diamonds around its circumference. According to the designer, Colson wanted something that was meaningful to both him and Megan and a design which represented their story. And, to represent the union of two halves of the same soul, Webster crafted double-twisting bands with magnets embedded in them so that the two rings would attract each other and be worn as one. Speculated to be around 2 to 2.5 carats in weight, the contrasting two-stone ring definitely makes a resounding statement!
