It is similar in style to the ruby engagement ring her dad Prince Andrew gave to Sarah Ferguson when he proposed in 1986. A padparadscha is a special variety of sapphire and is a mix of a red and yellow sapphire. Experts estimate that Princess Eugenie’s ring could be worth £100,000. It’s believed that the duo designed the distinctive bauble together. The princess announced she would wed James in autumn at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, a venue that will also host Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May.
