Aastha Aggarwal and Aryaman Grover, be Premium Bodrum, Turkey
Framed by Turkey’s idyllic coastal landscape, this unique wedding was straight out of a fairytale
Aastha Aggarwal, Founder and Creative Director at Terra Actives tied the knot with Textile and Pharmaceutical Businessman Aryaman Grover in a dreamy Turkey wedding. WeddingSutra Favorite – BESTMAN – The Wedding Director wove beautiful Indian traditions with vibrant local Turkish influences to craft a celebration as unique and vibrant as their love. Watch it come alive below.
Aastha shares, “We always wanted to have a wedding by the beach amidst the relaxed vibe and sound of the waves as we take our vows. There is something magically serene about doing the varmala at sunset, almost as if the sky is painted with beautiful colors just to celebrate your union. After some challenging to-and-fro in the middle of the Pandemic, we zeroed in on Turkey’s “be Premium Bodrum” and roped in the team of BESTMAN – The Wedding Director to plan our festivities. We wanted to have very distinct themes for each function, and they blended a charming cocktail of Indian and Turkish influences to craft memorable functions. Every detail was planned intricately, and the wedding ended up being even more beautiful than what we had imagined”.
The couple’s special moments were captured in beautiful frames by Karan Sidhu Photography.
The festivities began with a mystical Middle-Eastern mehndi soiree. From delicious local cuisine to performances by belly dancers and folk dancers, and even professional artists leading the couple’s entry into the venue, the occasion was brimming with flavors of Turkey. The couple sported Turkish inspired ensembles with ornate gold embroidery and ornaments.
Taking inspiration from all that Bodrum has to offer, the Haldi decor put a refreshing spin on the traditional occasion. Lemon trees and bougainvilleas added bright pops of color, while handmade pottery as well as a Turkish souk serving the best honey and freshly pressed olive oil gave the guests a taste of the local culture. The bride wore two outfits in citrus hues with rustic silver jewellery, while the groom kept it simple with a white attire.
The cocktail function upped the glam quotient with a suave oceanfront evening of music and dance. The sleek edgy decor of black and silver perfectly matched the mood, while the blue and purple lighting added a touch of magic. The bride dazzled in a champagne gown with sequin and feather detailing, while the groom looked dapper in a black tuxedo.
Ocean vistas and Bodrum’s beautiful landscape softly framed the tranquil decor of lush foliage and white blooms to create the perfect setting for the auspicious nuptials. The bride looked ethereal in an ornate citrus-hued lehenga as she walked down the aisle flanked with pink baby’s breath and candles. The dainty pastel decor, the stunning floral mandap, and varmala stage lit up in shades of the horizon as the couple tied the knot at sunset.
