Deeply involved in the planning process, the couple and their families curated each celebration to feel distinct, infusing soft palettes, intricate patterns, and an effortlessly elegant aesthetic. The result was a series of truly ethereal experiences. For both families, guest experience was paramount. Every attendee was welcomed with dholwalas, and personally received by the immediate family, who gifted bespoke stoles as heartfelt tokens of love. Mehndi
The celebrations commenced with a close-knit ‘Ghar Wali’ Mehendi with a Sufi theme. Every element—from the décor and entertainment to the cuisine and giveaways—echoed the theme’s soulful charm. A live Sufi singer added to the enchantment, serenading the couple with their favorite melodies as they shared intimate moments during the mehendi ritual.
Welcome Lunch
The Welcome Lunch was a breezy, laid-back affair that set the perfect tone for the celebrations. The guests checked in and got their hands adorned with henna while soft instrumental melodies played in the background.
Engagement and Sangeet
The Engagement and Sangeet evening was an explosion of glitz and energy. Set atop a hill, the venue offered breathtaking natural views. As family members poured their hearts into vibrant performances, the atmosphere transitioned into a full-blown dance party, with everyone joining in to celebrate under the stars.
Haldi
“For the Haldi, the couple selected a picturesque venue overlooking a tranquil lake. Keeping the decor minimal to let nature shine, the lakeside formed a dreamy backdrop. The ceremony was filled with laughter and joy as guests took turns applying haldi, culminating in a beautiful moment where everyone showered the couple with flower petals. Fun games were also curated to keep the guests engaged and entertained”, share Zashank and Shashank.
Wedding
“The wedding ceremony took place by the lake. As a surprise, the bride’s family performed a graceful dance during the groom’s entrance and in a powerful symbol of unity, the couple walked down the aisle hand-in-hand. After the ceremony, they re-entered the venue to a special song dedicated to them by a live performer”, share Zashank and Shashank.
Reception
The Reception in Delhi was an intimate and heartfelt gathering. Hosted by the bride’s family for the groom’s side, who had travelled from Mumbai, it was a night of warmth, elegant simplicity, and shared joy. Guests indulged themselves in winter delicacies and heartfelt conversations, making it a perfect conclusion to the wedding festivities.
