Chitra and Pranav, Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort and Spa
This couple tied the knot in a spectacular beachside wedding with a stunning floral wedding mandap.
Chitra and Pranav’s wedding was a grand celebration which reflected their exuberant personalities. The childhood friends turned into life partners with a series of vibrant celebrations that were beautifully captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – Camlition Productions.
How They Met
Chitra shares, “Both of us childhood friends found their destinies intertwined in the most unexpected way during the COVID-19 lockdown. Separated from our families due to expat travel bans in Kuwait, we couldn’t return home from Dubai for 6 months. We leaned on each other for support and companionship. As the world slowed down, our bond deepened, kindling a romance that had always simmered beneath the surface.”
Photographing one of the most important celebrations was Camlition Productions who impressed the couple with their knack for capturing moments that went by in the blink of an eye. The happy couple shares, “Camilition was a pleasure to work with. They made the photography part fun by being extremely accommodating, courteous and professional. The team was so kind and patient with us, and we’re really happy with our decision to go with them.”
The wedding festivities kicked off on an energetic note as the couple hosted a playful ‘nimbu mirchi’ themed mehndi where the bride and her squad got their hands patterned with henna. After the bride got her mehndi done, the couple took the opportunity to stroll in the rain by the beach.
For their evening engagement ceremony, the couple took the glam route as the bride donned a glitzy sequin gown while the groom wore a dapper tux. As the couple exchanged rings, they had a gala time shaking a leg with their loved ones and later posed for adorable pics.
Hosted on the beach, the haldi was a playful affair where the couple were seated in brass urlis and slathered with a mixture of turmeric. After the rituals, the couple took a dip in the sea and walked along the shoreline to watch the glorious sunset.
Opulence took a front seat at the wedding where the couple opted for a floral open-air mandap by the sea. While white and pink blooms decorated the varmala stage, the madap was heavily bedecked with vibrant red blooms interspersed with foliage. The groom arrived atop a sleek convertible and the bride walked down the aisle gracefully.
Advice for Couples
The couple shares, “Remember the wedding is more about the guests and family than about the bride and groom. Research every vendor thoroughly and preferably select via a reference.”
