Deepshikha and Jai, Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Center, Cambodia
Ancient Egypt, a gorgeous fairy tale and a taste of Cambodia - this wedding was versatility at its best!
Deepshikha and Jai’s wedding ran through a multitude of fascinating themes. The grand affair was only made possible with the creative acumen that WeddingSutra Favorite Vivaah brings. The Mumbai based wedding designers who operate world over ensured this couple’s celebration at the Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Centre in Cambodia was stylish and sophisticated.
Team Vivaah took care of the wedding décor. The bride says, “The Vivaah team were wonderful to work with right from the planning stages. They were cognizant of my vision for the décor and eager to help. Everyone was very professional, efficient, and kind. The interiors and set up surpassed our expectations, especially the floating mandap mirroring the Angkor Wat Temple. It was absolutely mesmerizing!”
The celebrations were held at the breathtaking Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Centre. Set amidst lush, tropical gardens the property’s traditional Cambodian design infused with modern features and 5-star facilities, luxurious accommodation and exquisite venues made it the couple’s preferred choice. The warm hospitality that the wedding party was treated with added a lot of emotion to the memories the wedding created for the family.
Deepshikha and Jai’s wedding events began with a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ inspired welcome party. Guests walked into the banquet through a large entryway created using marquee lights and fresh blooms. They were privy to a beautiful dance floor under a canopy decked with twinkling fairy lights. Candles and roses made for the table centerpieces and brought in a romantic touch to the setup.
The mehndi was hosted the following morning on the Sokha Beach Resort’s lush lawn. The décor was in mostly soft tones of pink, yellow and orange. While the highlight of the setup was the couple seating, smothered in fresh flowers, the lively canopies with pretty decor elements and fresh floral accents added to the cheery mood at the event. To keep their guests entertained, the couple had a live band perform.
The theme for the sangeet was borrowed from the land of the pharaohs. The splendid decor for the night included a marvelous stage with a 3D structure made to look like Tutankhamun’s mask and an LED screen that displayed visuals from Egypt. Golden lantern, mirrors on strings and shimmering drapes were a few other features that were a part of the setup for the night.
The couple decided to immerse their guests in the aesthetics of the destination through the wedding and this peaked with the unique mandap set in the hotel’s pool. Designed to look like the Angkor Wat, doused in the warm glow of golden lights, it made for a sight that was truly spectacular.
For the reception, the ballroom was transformed into an enchanted garden. With overhead decorations that incorporated leaves and vines, sparkling fabric over the chairs and charming floral arrangements that could be seen across the space, the venue looked magical.
