Diksha and Kongposh’s wedding at the Caravela Beach Resort Goa resounded with merrymaking and joy. With all their loved ones in attendance, the duo tied the knot in a beautiful setting. Here, we share highlights from their lavish celebrations.
How They Met
Diksha and Kongposh are childhood sweethearts and have known each other for 22 years. Their deep friendship strengthened over the years and evolved into something special. They dated for eight years before tying the knot.
Wedding Functions
Pool Party
The wedding festivities started with a fun pool party that had lots of quirky decor elements, props, a colorful photo booth, and great food. The color palette for the decor included blue, green, red and yellow hues. Everybody jumped into the pool at one point, and the party was a complete success with great music playing in the background as the youngsters made the most of the photo booth by posing next to it. The couple thought this was the best way for the two families to get to know each other and the plan worked.
Sangeet
The biggest highlight of the sangeet was the color theme that included shades of pink and white. The lighting arrangements added to the mood of the evening. With lots of dance performances and good food, the night was a big party. Both families burned up the dance floor into the wee hours of the morning.
Haldi
The couple wanted a simple yet fun haldi function. The bride and the groom coordinated their outfits for this event. While the ladies were involved in the ritual, the youngsters amped up the fun factor by smearing turmeric on the couple. A simple yet colorful setup was created with fresh flowers.
Wedding
The colors for the wedding were peach, pink and white with touches of gold. The couple wanted something elegant so that the setup would not take away from the lovely natural backdrop. While the groom arrived at the venue with his loved ones, the bride chose to enter with her brother and father wearing a beautiful pink lehenga. It was a perfect sunset setting on the beach, and the wedding decor included shades of pink in elements such as drapes and flowers which turned out to be beautiful.
Reception
The reception was all white in decor, from the linens, stage, flowers and warm lights. The couple envisioned the dreamy impact that white along with lights would have as the dominant decor element for the reception, and they were right – the setting was perfect! Glamor, glitz and all things shiny were the order of the evening.
