With splendorous decor of scarlet and gold, this wedding celebration truly defined royalty.
A love that bloomed from half way across the world, Irina and Dhruv’s journey to tying the knot was a special one. They sealed their commitment to one another with a beautiful multi-cultural wedding at the Taj Rambagh Palace, Jaipur which was planned and executed splendidly by WeddingSutra Favorite – Dreamzkrraft. WeddingSutra Favorite – Cupcake Productions encapsulated every moment of their festivities for them to cherish forever.
How they met
Irina and Dhruv first crossed paths in New York when they were introduced by a mutual friend. Despite knowing that Dhruv was returning to Hong Kong soon, they couldn’t ignore an instant spark between them. What followed was countless hours on the phone, and a trip they decided to take, meeting midway in Amsterdam. The trip put things in perspective and they knew they wanted to make their relationship work, despite the challenges of long distance. Daily calls, frequent trips and splitting their time between the two countries eventually led them to take the next big step of starting an exciting new life together in New York.
Irina shares, “He proposed at the Lake Palace in Udaipur one weekend around my birthday. I had no idea and my parents managed to keep it a secret for an entire month!”
After a few months of researching, the couple chose the Taj Rambagh Palace in Jaipur for its beautiful property, palatial feel and warm hospitality.
Irina shares, “We chose the talented team of Dreamzkrraft for planning and executing our wedding, while we had Cupcake Productions capture our photos. I must say, both of them went above and beyond our expectations! Our guests are still in awe and won’t stop talking about the wedding for a few more months! The decor and floral arrangements were absolutely gorgeous, and the photos were simply phenomenal.”
The bride shares, “We chose traditional Indian decor with a fun flair. We were keen to show the beautiful colors, the true essence, and the incredible culture to all those visiting India for the first time. When we arrived at our mehndi entrance my husband jumped off our horse about 5 minutes early because he wanted to ensure that all was going as planned! I ended up making my grand entrance alone because of him.” The mehndi was a vibrant day affair with quirky yellow and blue decor. The bride donned a pastel peach lehenga by Anita Dongre while the groom looked dapper in a Shantanu and Nikhil ensemble.
Vibrant decor in citrus hues and an abundance of marigolds ruled the decor for the lively Haldi festivities. The couple looked like a picture of happiness in charming yellow attires as their loved ones smeared them with auspicious turmeric paste.
The Sangeet was a night of dancing with great fervor, psychedelic lights and heady music. It was also a novel experience for the overseas guests. The bride wore a dazzling ensemble by Neeta Lulla while the groom sported a glam look in a Manish Malhotra outfit.
Every inch of the grand wedding celebrations exuded luxury and opulence. The stunning Mandap of red, gold and white left everyone awestruck with its magnificence. The bride channeled royalty in a velvet maroon lehenga by Sabyasachi and the groom looked pristine in a sherwani by Shantanu and Nikhil.
The wedding festivities drew to an end with one last bang. With a dazzling display of cold pyros, the stunning couple entered their reception that exuded a Gatsby-ish allure in its grandness with bold decor, festivities and a showstopping cake.
